Bayswater Holiday Home, Waterfront Paihia, Bay of Islands

Only a 200 metre flat walk to Paihia Village and Wharf - beach across the road.

Bayswater Holiday Home has two levels

Top floor open plan kitchen, dining and lounge plus bathroom, huge deck with BBQ, great views.

Below four double bedrooms - three with Queen Beds and one with a Double Bed - sleeps 8 - Master Bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. There is also another bathroom and a lounge area with 2 king singles. So up to 10 in total.

Bayswater is a home that can accommodate up to 10 guests but we have priced it so two people or more can book it and get the advantage and space of a large home but not pay for what they would not use.

Paihia waterfront location makes this holiday home one of the best in the bay. It’s only a 5 minute flat walk to Paihia township and wharf which is the tourism hub of the Bay of Islands.

The beach is across the road.

Perfect for two people who want space....or a large family. Even better for two couples travelling together.

There is off-street parking for three cars .

The big plus for this holiday home is that once ensconced you don’t have to drive anywhere – everything in Paihia is a few minutes level walk away!

Fabulous spot for our group - 8 women all converging on Paihia to help celebrate my 70th birthday. Great deck for socialising; lovely big kitchen & lounges. Beds very comfy, & our group appreciated the 3 bathrooms.

Two families enjoyed a great stay together. The house was clean and tidy, and lived up to expectations. Location was excellent. Hosts were responsive and easy to deal with. Would recommend.

Location and space- awesome

Hosts were great and welcoming. Space was great for our large group - extra bathroom upstairs a real bonus. Felt clean and comfortable and had all the facilities we needed - special bonus is that Chester and Lou own the amazing JFC restaurant next door. Best seafood in the area I reckon and reasonably priced. Thank you so much

Location Amazing

We were in Paihia for the Jazz and Blues festival and had 7 people staying in the house. Plenty of room for all of us. Great social spaces for hanging out. Great location as we could walk into town. We were all very happy with our stay. Would love to have had the opportunity to cook and dine around the lovely dining table but we were out and about enjoying the festival. Next time.

Family reunion in Paihia

We really enjoyed our stay at this property in Paihia. We had 10 of our family stay they with ages ranging from 7 to 84 years old. Plenty of space for everyone. Nice comfortable living kitchen and sleeping area... Communication leading up to and during our stay was great. Messages were answered promptly as was any action required. Hand on heart only a couple very minor things missing in the kitchen like oven mits, tin foil and knives presharpenned. Again minor... only thing annoying was the element / hob was quite weak. 9.5 out of 10

Bayswater in Paihia

Just the best spot in Paihia, right in the heart but feels private. Perfectly suited our needs as we were working but would definitely come back for a more relaxing break. The kitchen, dining and deck area is great for large groups and hosts very accomodating.

Family Vacation

Had a wonderful time. The place was great lots of space and had everything we needed. Great location by the beach and close to shops. Owners were helpful and also make great fish and chips at the restaurant in front of the house.

Location was top notch and allowed us to walk around Waitangi. Presentation was by far the best we have stayed in. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone. Value for money was excellent.

Louise and Chester Rendell are long time residents of Paihia and originally purchased the property in 1983 when it was a Motel and Tea House. It took about six weeks for them to work out that there was no money in “scones, jam and cream”, and it wasn’t long before the ‘Courtyard Restaurant’ morphed out of the original Tea House. Later this became ‘Bistro 40’ and then ‘Only Seafood’ was established above Bistro 40 in 1991.

The restaurant is now leased out to new owners and trading as By George Eatery and Bar.

Chester and Louise still live on then property and offer you a warm welcome!

Why they chose this property

Just two or four of you travelling together and want space - you won't beat Bayswater.

One of the few holiday rental homes that can house up to 10 people that is only 200 metres from Paihia Village and the beach is across the road.
