This house was well equipped with everything that was needed. The location and setting are perfect for enjoying the outdoors. We highly recommend this house to anyone who enjoys the outdoors.
The Fishing Bach was a perfect and charming place to stay while visiting Tongariro National Park. The garden was lovely and peaceful and backed onto the preserve a great walking option. Beds were comfy, the kitchen was well stocked. Susi and Johny were welcoming and helpful. We loved it!
This was such a nice and cosy place for my partner, dog and I! Awesome walks nearby and the place has everything you could need. This place made you feel at home soo fast. Susie was a great communicator and easy to deal with.
Really nice place to stay for a few days with the kids and dog. Nice secluded character home surrounded by gardens, must be amazing in the summer sun. Weather got cold and wet (including a storm that caused a power cut, but plenty of candles on hand) for us, however heaters in every room and a lovely fireplace meant it is cosy. Backs onto Tongariro river reserve which was great to walk the dog and bike.
It was all we expected and more. Immaculate property. The fire was delightful. The owners are great communicators. Highly recommended venue, close to everything.
Had a great time at the fishing Bach with my husband and dog. Susie the owner is lovely, the place has everything you need. Excellent location, so peaceful and we really enjoyed the river walks which are directly behind the property. Thank you Susie for letting us stay at such an awesome place.
Was a great spot to stop in. Very much a kiwi Bach style which is what we were after. The host was absolutely lovely and accommodated us with care. Loved being able to have our dogs with us.

My husband's family have been coming to Turangi for 60 years and built the bach next door which we still have and use regularly. So we consider ourselves locals although we don't actually live in Turangi. Our children all love it here and are now bringing their own children to holiday in this wonderful part of the New Zealand.
Why they chose this property
We purchased this property because it is next door to our own bach, in an area we love and we wanted to retain the special environment we have here for us and others to enjoy as much as we have.
What makes this property unique
The old world charm of a family fishing bach which is right on the doorstep of the famous Tongariro river for keen trout fishing people and super handy to skiing, mountain hiking, walking and bike trails. Snow, sun, lakes and rivers on offer.Or just enjoy the peace of your surroundings, You can be spoilt for choice.
