Property was awesome, check in was difficult due to information needed at the last minute, ID and signature on documents not able to be done by phone.Property was not the one pictured advertised.Rustic and well lived in feel of the property was just right for a family.
We had plenty of space for our party of 12, we enjoyed the spa and the large kitchen. We had a great time there was only a few hiccups. We had a maintenance person walk into the house one morning and one of the ladders on the bunk beds was broken and my son fell when climbing into bed.
It’s beautiful but old and needs some TLC. The patio was so filthy we didn’t use it. Really needs some silverware. 5 spoons really not enough for 16 people maximum
It’s a big house. I liked that there was hot water wihich in the last two houses I stayed in Big Bear there was hardly hot water. All the stores were really close to the house. I really liked it
Our family of 16 enjoyed our time here. The space was great for our group, beds comfy, a great kitchen, dining area... The only issue is that with 8 children (8-14) to say we had to be quite when outside was a bit of a challenge.
Our family wish we could stay a little longer because we had a blast in this huge beautiful house. And it’s in perfect location if you are into summer outdoor activities like biking and hiking as the trails are just nearby. We’ll definitely come back here in the future, maybe during winter season as ski resorts are also within short distance.
The house is big with good sized bedrooms with on suites. Needs some maintenance with plumbing fixtures and other random features. Otherwise it suited our group of five adults and could handle more easily.
Huge house in a great location!!! Each room had its own bathroom and the kitchen was great for our family meals. The stove was not working but they provided a resolution with a counter air fryer/oven. The backyard was perfect for snow play. We would definitely stay again.
This home is immaculate, huge kitchen, dining and bedrooms each with their own restrooms. Our kids enjoyed the pool table, football table and Jacuzzi. We definitely enjoyed the home. The location was perfect close to the park, town and dining. We definitely needed more time to enjoy. We will definitely come back.
Had a great trip and the house was great. Big bear caps at 16 occupancy, taking trash to a dump site and face to face check in with signed waivers.
House was worth it
We loved the spaciousness of this house. We could all sit together at the big table and everyone had their own bathroom. A few things need repair: one upstairs bathroom light in the toilet room didn’t work. The hot tub worked fine but the siding and the cover need repair.
Large Family Vacation on this Breathe Taking Property
We are a family of 9, ranging from 60 years old to the youngest being 7 months old. This property was super spacious with plenty of room for everyone! Everyone could eat at the huge dinner table, and there were plenty of bathrooms that no one had to wait super long to take a bath! The older boys in our group had plenty of entertainment to compete in (pool table, foosball, and ping pong)! Kevin is an amazing host with very welcoming staff (Brandon)! We had a very wonderful vacation here (I wish I could stay longer) and are making plans to come back soon!

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Communication
Opportunities to get better
1 missing items (pillows, garbage collector, broken blender, the oven wasn’t working, dirty dishes, no snow shovel, grill didn’t work, wine glasses, table mats, hangers)
2 the music system didn’t work
3 the last day internet didn’t work
4 several TVs didn’t work
The house overall was great. With that said here are a few minor grievances. We arrived about 3:30pm. We called to see if we could go in. Absolutely not. So we sat in our cars outside. Seemed a bit overboard. The house was very big and fully furnished. Unfortunately that does not include everything you will need. There was no pot holders. Only one pot to boil water. Very hard to make spaghetti for ten people. No salt and pepper. (To be fair the contract said no condiments) I wrongly assumed that did not include salt and Pepper. The downstairs bathroom by the living room toilet was not working. The jacuzzi’s in the two bedrooms did not work. This sucked because that was one of the reasons we chose this house. The house sound system was disabled. They has a pool table and ping pong table but no ping pong balls and only one pool stick that was usable. Not one blow dryer in the entire house. Even Motel 6 gives you a blow dryer. The house was clean but could have used some minor repairs. Walls were dirty and the curtains could use a good washing. The stair case was beautiful but needed some minor repair. It is made of wood and was splintered on some of the steps. An accident waiting to happen. Like I said overall the house was great for ten people and the neighborhood was really nice. We did have an ant problem but when we called they dropped off ant spray right away.
Great location and plenty of room to spread out. However, the interior is in much need of some tender loving care. Everything feels extremely used and worn and looks like temporary fixes were made throughout but aren’t so temporary anymore. Bare minimum as far as supplies are concerned. Could use wine opener and more than a two slice toaster for a home that sleeps so many, and master upstairs missing a trash can. Cleanliness was just ok, could tell many of the room’s hadn’t been vacuumed, many areas were very dusty and the air vent over kitchen table needs to be changed and cleaned. Overall though it fit the bill, I didn’t have any need to call management and everything went smoothly.
We took our adult children and grandchildren to Big Bear for a family vacation. Check-in was easy, and the woman who checked us in was very nice. This house was perfect for our size group. Having 5 master bedrooms was great!
We loved eating and playing games at the big dining table. Kitchen was very well stocked! The garage was roomy for our cars and bikes!
There were definitely some quirks. The Jacuzzi lid was broken, so it was quite heavy to close and very loud when we closed it. It would have been nice to have a cheat sheet for the Jacuzzi, as it would sometimes go to sleep mode and we’d come out to a lukewarm Jacuzzi. There were knobs missing on cabinet doors, a leg broken on a bedroom ottoman, blinds that were broken, and little things that come with owning a house. But the good definitely outweighed the quirks. Lots of toilet paper and enough towels for our group. The washer & dryer
were very helpful! All major appliances were in good working order. The fridge is a great size.
Kevin answered my questions before I booked, but once I booked, I couldn’t get a hold of him to answer other questions. That was a little frustrating.
Overall, this is a fantastic place and we would definitely stay here again!
We had such a great experience at this cabin!
The cabin is much nicer than the pictures show. It’s very spacious, appliances and furniture are modern and adequate, unlike many others Big Bear properties that have old log furniture and tons of old rugs all over.
We went with family and close friends, adults in the mid 30’s and kids ranging from 1 to 16. Everybody had a great time!
We had issues with the sauna and some electrical in the kitchen, however the property management team handled it right away.
We brought some of our own kitchen tools, like instapot, but they did have a great variety of kitchen pots, dishes and silverware enough for our group of 13.
Cleanliness was good. Not impeccable for our picky standards, but it was good enough for most. And they did also have broom and vaccum available, which was. plus.
I was a little concerned about rodents, after reading a couple of bad reviews. I didn’t see any, or any signs of it. We did see some mice traps spread out though, but no mice or mice drops, thankfully.
Overall it succeeded our expectations and we’ll definitely rent it again!!
The house is actually great! It’s super big and nice. The issue how they stock it with supplies and some broken stuff. They give you two tiny bars of soap that last one shower and are not sufficient enough for a weekend stay. There are no coffee filters, a lot of stuff is broken like the jacuzzi top. Limitless kithchen supplies like no work. The bender leaked. No hair dryer. The TVs work well though. There is no way to open and close the garage from the outside so you have to or close it and then walk around the house to get in and out. My issues is with the management company and they way they run the house more than anything. Oh they also make you drive your trash to a bear safe place when you leave. For a house like this it’s insulting not to provide a big more amenities and service. I feel like I’m not being treated well.
