We enjoyed our stay here. The owner is very good. He communicate early and all information. The house is big and very clean. Plenty of places are here inside and outside house. This is a great place to stay.
My out of town guests loved this property. They enjoyed the animals and walking around. The inside was decorated nice. They would definitely stay again
Loved the rustic setting and the home, it was perfect for our family Christmas gathering. All amenities worked and the hosts were great. This would be a wonderful home to visit in the summer to take full advantage of the local features. This home was stocked with games so we weren’t bored. Cleaning up was easy thanks to the flooring type.
The farmhouse was a perfect location for our large family. The hosts were very accommodating and I would recommend staying at this property when visiting the area.
Incredible time with 5 of our grandkids. They LOVED staying here and want to come back. Great house, air hockey, dogs, cows, chickens, fresh eggs, emu next door, playground, hiking, close to Auburn… Everything advertised was true. And the hosts are fantastic.
Being there with many little kids there was chaos, but the serene home away from home was perfect. Games, books, chickens, puppies, this home had it all.
The children loved the"barn house". Beautiful rural setting. Very peaceful, with plenty of room for the kids to play and take walks. The Perron family were great hosts.
Roy's place was very comfortable, clean, spacious and well-stocked with all you need to make yourself right at home. We enjoyed the large kitchen, provided fresh chicken eggs!, & coffee pods. The grounds of this estate are stunning and fun to explore - so much wildlife. Thanks for having us!
This place is perfect. Quiet amd peaceful. Had everything you needed. the views were amazing.. got up every morning to watch the sunrise. Had a nice fire in the firepit at night. Enjoyed every aspect of the stay. Fresh eggs in the fridge as well.
This is an absolute gem! From the property owner to the beautiful landscape, we couldn’t have been happier, as a team of 8th grade basketball players and a handful of parents. Boys had a blast wandering property to visit animals, fish, play hide and seek, and just be boys out of the city life! Strongly recommend this escape for anyone looking to feeel off the grid but still be close to the city if needed.
We had such an amazing stay at the ranch. Roy is incredible. He was responsive, welcoming, and just a joy to chat with both online and in person. This property is a true gem. It’s also the first time staying at a rental that I didn’t feel the need to clean, which is saying something for a slight germaphobe. We will definitely come back again and again to stay at this property. HIGHLY recommended.
The property owner was very quick to respond to any questions I had in advance of the trip, including dropping off firewood, our first evening there. Loved all of the property animals and the farm fresh chicken eggs! I recommend this property very highly..
We have enjoy our stay. Very easy commute. Unfortunately, the extreme hot weather interfered with the use of the bbq area.
The air on has kept us comfortable, The stairs has made it hard for us to move the child in cast, a handicapped friend and our 2 seniors but other than that it was a good weekend,
Thank you for the fresh eggs . We’ll recommend this place to our friends,
Hopefully, we can return next year on a better weather. Thank you.
Great house, beautiful property, awesome stay! We enjoyed our time at this house. We went wine tasting and to breweries in the area during the day and spent our afternoons and evenings back at the house. Large house, plenty of room, ages ranged from 1 year old to my 70 year old dad. We used the kitchen and BBQ and had a fire outside in the fire pit. My kids enjoyed going on a walk and seeing the fish in the pond, the emus next door, and all the birds around. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and as we were leaving my husband turned to me and said, “Wouldn’t mind coming back here!” :)
The property is in the country, very private and quiet. It was well stocked and clean, although it would have been nice to know exactly how many bedrooms and how many beds/type were in each room. One comment - the two sofa beds in the living room were old and a bit uncomfortable for those that slept on them. Overall it was great for our family group who was attending a wedding and other family events in the area. I would recommend it for others.
We were 9 adults and 2 children attending a wedding in Newcastle. The red barn was perfect for us. The grounds are beautiful and with permission my grandson was able to fish and caught his first fish! The communication was easy and responsive. There were fresh eggs! My sister-in-law couldn't think of a single thing the house lacked. We loved the combo keurig and drip coffee maker. Family memories of the wedding will include our delightful stay at the red barn.
FYI-There is a staircase to the main level if that is a problem for anyone in your party.
