Country Home, Beautiful acreage, large creek

The perfect Northern California location for a romantic weekend or relaxing escape for family or friends. Lovely cottage in a picturesque country setting located in a convenient location at the base of the Sierra foothills only 2 miles from the town of Lincoln, Situated 7 miles from Interstate 80 between Lake Tahoe and San Francisco.
There are many equestrian and biking trails nearby. Visitors wanting to soak up Gold Rush history will enjoy a visit to nearby Auburn approximately 20 minutes by car. In addition, you may like to stroll around the property viewing the many Maidu Indian grinding rocks, pestles and Native American fertility rock.
Two comfortable bedrooms, two bathrooms and a sleeping loft will accommodate 8 people max . The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you’ll need to prepare your meals. Towels and linens are provided. There is a sun-room with a cozy outdoor area equipped with a propane barbecue. A favorite activity of visitors is relaxing on the grassy private beach near the river and enjoying the built in fire pit (wood is provided for an additional charge).

***We have satellite internet. It is slower than most are used to, so we like to make sure guests are aware!

Great place to stay!

It exceeded our expectations and provided ample space for all of us, dogs included. Lovely grounds and a very natural setting among mature trees, creek view. We're really glad to have the opportunity to stay there.

Beautiful property!

Perfect stay for our family and dog! Beautiful wooded area with creek, fire pits and chairs for s’mores, access to a beautiful pool. Everything was clean and the host was very responsive. We would definitely stay again!

Peaceful retreat

We met two of our adult kids for a family wedding weekend and this beautiful spot was wonderful for our break time. Hosts are very responsive, the home well equipped and clean. Great room for hanging out and many outdoor spots. We loved it!

Gorgeous setting and wonderful hosts

This is a beautiful property in the Lincoln countryside. The home was well appointed, clean, and comfortable. We were able to visit with our host for awhile and really enjoyed talking with her. We were greeted with home made bread on the table to enjoy. Absolutely gorgeous and park like setting.

Family visit

This property is an amazing little hidden gem. The house is so inviting and comfortable. On the inside the kitchen is well stocked with most of what you need to prepare a meal. The bedrooms are comfortable and plenty. When you explore the property you see how special it really is. The creek, the mossy rocks and beautiful trees were fun to explore. Wasn’t warm enough to enjoy the pool, but it looked beautiful. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay here again

Lovely Country Cottage

This country home is so comfortable, nicely decorated and furnished. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes etc. The property is on a quiet country lane yet very close to Lincoln. Although we didn’t need anything during our stay I knew Morgan was available for any questions we might have. She also left a loaf of delicious apple bread. I would definitely love to return and stay a little longer and maybe bring my dog.

Even better than it looks on line

This place is an absolute gem. It is so much cuter than it looks on line (both inside and out). It is very clean and the owner left us delicious fresh baked banana bread for our arrival. There are 3 different areas to sit outside. The creek is on the property and we waded through it. The natural rocks are cool looking and fun to climb. We saw wild turkeys every day as well as a neighborhood cat and dog that came to visit. We also enjoyed seeing the neighbors goats and peacock. The owners are lovely and accommodating. We had an amazing stay. I hope you do too.

Beautiful ranch and excellent host

The property is amazing with so many outdoor spaces to enjoy. We love to stroll along the property, especially the creek to cool down during the heat and the pool where you can swim/BBQ late afternoon early evening. The house is very functional and all the seatings/beds are comfortable as well. The place is closed to many outdoor activities, 30 mins drive from rafting and 10 mins drive from a few great breweries. Morgan is no doubt a fantastic host. She is always available, easy to communicate, and very thoughtful. This is definitely one of our favorites to go! We look forwards to coming back soon!

A family event

We took our three adult daughters to a party to celebrate my Moms life (she passed June 20th). We picked this as it was close to Rocklin, where my sister lives and the celebration would be held. In short, this was just the perfect house; felt like we were getting away from it all, deep in a forest. We watched movies one night, and spent two around a fire out front. Plenty of space, quiet, and out in nature, but 15 minutes away from a grocery store and tons of great food places in Lincoln. Went to wine and brew country not 15ninutes away as well.

Beautiful, fun and varied!

This was our second visit. We liked it so much the first time that we wanted to share it with our family, so we came back and invited them to spend a day enjoying the creek, pool and surroundings. We all had a great time and the family was blown away by the experience. The kids spent the morning swimming in the creek, then hours in the pool, then back to the creek. There is a wonderful pool house, large BBQ and shady patio for al fresco dining. We can't rave about it enough. The house is spacious and charming, with everything you need. Most amazing place to stay!

It’s hard to capture the beauty and size of this property with pictures. The house had more than all the amenities we needed, but it’s the yard, stream, pool and fire pits (plural) that make this place magical. I *almost* wanted to keep this rental to ourselves by not publicizing this hidden gem, but the owners were so considerate and thoughtful that I actually want them to rent it out as much as possible! Morgan and family had excellent communication and were very patient and accommodating. They even provided bug spray for the mosquitoes. Their care for the large property, and those little details, is what made our trip so enjoyable. All 6 of us (3 adults, 3 kids (11-14 YO), and 2 dogs) slept comfortably in the house, with room to spare. We cooked huge dinners, played by the river, climbed on rocks, and sat by the pool…but mostly we talked about how much we wanted to come back.

FIRST CLASS ALL THE WAY

Right out of Home and Garden. The most beautiful rental I’ve ever stated at. Move in ready. There was NOTHING you could need or want. Top of the line on EVERYTHING from sheets, towels, bedding, decor, appliances. The grounds were like an enchanted forest. I wish I could say n words just how I feel about our stay. . I looking at the calendar for next year and the next. The peacocks were fun to watch……oh I didn’t mention the stream on the property. We were at it and in it everyday. Beautiful.

Lincoln Wedding

A great place for California & Michigan family to be together for a wedding in the area. It’s quiet for sleeping and great space for walking. The banana bread was delicious and a welcome surprise.

Great family rental

Our family of 4 had a lovely experience at the property. Plenty of things to see and do around Lincoln or just stay in and enjoy the creek, turkeys and deer. Our kids loved it! My husband and I have been married for 10 years. We have two kids. We relocated to Lincoln from the Bay Area. We fell in love with this place and can’t wait to continue to share it with others!

Why they chose this property

This property is just a treasure. Was once the site of a Maidu native American village. We feel like we are in a remote location...but in reality we are close to so much. Many large oak trees with rolling hills. Guests enjoy hanging out at the river beach to cool off and enjoy the tranquil setting.

What makes this property unique

Our property in Lincoln California is about 6 acres and consists of moss covered rock outcroppings, oak trees, and redwoods. There is several fire pit spots, to relax and be with family and friends. We have a pretty large creek that runs along the property. We encourage guest to pull up and chair and cool off, swim, or fish! There is a porch off the house with a bbq grill and dinning area with a view! Down by the creek is another large fire pit, a perfect gathering spot! The property owners live in the main home not far from guest house, and are full time.
