Accommodation was not suitable. We did not stay. Doors needed repair, were not able to be locked. Interior suite door could be easily pulled open. Exterior door had been previously popped open (likely with a crow bar)Internal door did not meet the floor. Could hear and see other occupants with the 2” gap. When we arrived there was no working smoke detector or carbon monoxide detector. When we brought this up, the owner asked if this was necessary equipment, or if we could wait until the next day for this to be remedied. Drain pump in bathroom very very loud. Other guests would not be able to sleep while you ran the water in the washroom. Very unsuitable. Toilet seat had been cracked and poorly repaired with glue. Owner belongings in the shower.Very few towels provided not suitable for 2 adults and 2 nights. Second bed did not have linen. Primary bed only had 2 pillows and a thin quilt. Entry is in the back of the property, and is poorly lit.

Its very unfortunate that the guest didn't find the accommodation suitable. And we fully appreciate that each guest may have their own likes and dislikes. However, in this particular case they seem inclined to find an excuse to cancel and leave the property. The smoke detector n carbon monoxide detector's battery had ran low and started to beep, when they checked in. Out of abundant caution, we immediately provided a plug-in carbon monoxide detector while we got the battery replaced within 30 minutes for the smoke and carbon monoxide detector. They had left for a private event after freshening up and returned in the evening. It was only then they decided to cancel and leave the property and discovered non-consequential reasons: 1. Water pump in the bathroom gets activated upon usage and is necessary to ensure drainage. We do forewarn our guests about this pump. 2. Toilet seat is not cracked. It is the side bidet which is glued and is fully functional. 3. It is the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner that we provide to our guests and is not owner's belongings. 4. 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels are provided. Upon the guest's request we had provided EXTRA towels. 5. Second bed is provided with linen only when more than 2 guests make a booking for an extra charge. As provided in the picture, the extra bed is neatly made up.
