Lovely two bedroom sleeps 5 with huge deck and endless waterfront views. Fresh paint all new linens choice of two private community beaches one within a one min walk. Dock, boat and trailer parking at the house, cement boat ramp walking distance. Lots of great fishing fluke, flounder, striped bass weakfish, bluefish, snapper etc. nearby or fish from the park at the canal or from the dock at the house.

Unbeatable location

We stayed here for a short weekend getaway in July 2020 and had a great time. This is exactly what we were looking for: the location cannot be beat, as the house is literally a stone's throw away from a small private beach (the path is between the hedges next to the house on the right), and has a dock in an inlet. You can be in the ocean 5 minutes after getting out of bed. There is another, larger beach ~10 minutes walk away; the sandbar at the end is great and safe for children. It is a low key, quiet neighborhood 10 minutes walk away from Mashomack Nature Preserve and less than a mile away from the South Ferry. The beaches are both sheltered in Smith's Cove; for those looking for more of an open ocean feel, there are several civilized ones within easy driving distance, or completely undeveloped ones within hiking distance for those happy to walk into the preserve. The owner, Andy, and property manager, Jane, were very helpful with pointers and suggestions.

Stellar stay

Andrew and Jane made for a fantastic weekend. The property is exactly as described - conveniently located near the S Ferry and right on the water. The veranda provides a gorgeous backdrop and the house was excellent for weekend getaway. Jane made our check-in and check-out very easy and Andrew was quite accommodating re:assurances in the midst of the pandemic.
