Overall, we had a nice stay because the location was excellent with easy beach access, and the pool was clean and well maintained.One thing we didn’t realize before booking was that the unit required climbing several flights of stairs. It wasn’t a major issue for us, but it may be important for others to know.The biggest disappointment was the condition of the unit itself. While it appeared to have been updated, the renovations seemed to have been done inexpensively and without much attention to detail. The paint was blotchy throughout the unit, and there were stains on the ceiling that looked like they were from a previous water leak. In the master bathroom, there was black mold on the wood paneling and in the shower, which was concerning.Overall, the location was the highlight of our stay, but the condition and upkeep of the unit did not meet our expectations. With some better maintenance and care, this could be a much nicer place to stay.

This condo is on the third floor in a private neighborhood near the end of the outer banks in a quiet part of the islands. It is convenient to the wild horse tours, grocery stores and restaurants and a short drive to the busier areas south. If you are looking for a peaceful beach, this is it. We saw one person on one of our walks and no more than a handful at any other time. The condo is a short walk from the beach. The dunes are massive. The condo itself was cozy. Beds and linens were great. Plenty of space on the deck that looks out over the pool. It has a large table on it with two additional seats. We rented bikes and many things were close enough to ride them to. There are trails to ride all along the main road. Parking is covered under on the first floor. There are tennis courts, and basketball goals. It is an end condo, so there is no one above or to one side of it. Overall, it is a nice place to stay, the hosts were attentive and the location is great. Many things are close by or a short drive away.

The property was described as expected. The property floor was not cleaned very well at all when we arrived. There were crumbs in corners and dirt still on floor. There was a lot of fragile decor laying around that was not kid appropriate. The house was big, cute, close to the beach, and had a pool.
