The house is private, modern and spacious with all of the necessary amenities and had a really well equipped kitchen for cooking in. There is a lovely little hiking trail just down the hill from the house and Harper's Ferry is not far and has countless outdoor activities- (including a brand new bungee jumping site) and lots of great place to eat.The River Country Store is even closer and is a great little stop to pick up food basics and gifts. We would definitely recommend the Blue Jay house for those visiting the Harper's Ferry area.

The rental was wonderful—clean, comfortable, and the kitchen surprisingly well stocked. I say this because often when rentals state that the kitchen has everything needed to cook, the pots and pans are old and knives dull. This had quality cooking supplies and all the appliances we needed from an air fryer to coffee options. My only complaint is that I chose this property because it didn’t allow pets. I’m severely allergic and cannot stay in a place that allows dogs. However, as soon as I stepped in the back door, there was a dog bowl and mat. I don’t know to what extent pets have been allowed here, but the only place I had an allergic reaction was on the main room sofa. I’d ask that the company please reconcile the pet/no pet listing accurately.Overall this was one of the best rentals I’ve stayed in. Please note that it’s on a dirt road and map apps don’t get you there accurately. Some community members may feel unsafe because of the neighbors’ noise and rebel flags.
