Overall we had a good stay. Check in was very easy and there's parking for two cars. The house is nice - a recent flip by the looks of it. The fridge door sticks a bit so you really have to push it closed. The bathrooms are well equipped but the towels could be a bit higher quality. Bedrooms are spacious and there's lots of closet space. There were a few spots that could have been cleaner - behind the sink in the bathroom upstairs and the shower curtain didn't have a liner. The house was conveniently located, just a few minutes drive from the ferry to access downtown Hailifax. We were overall happy with our stay.

This property exceeded my expectations. Not the most dazzling from outside, but inside it has been beautifully updated and decorated, with new furnishings, bedding and so many thoughtful, considerate touches and amenities for guests. Whomever designed the space clearly had the guests' comfort in mind. Every bed had a new mattress and bedding, there was A/C which was welcome in the humidity, and the windows opened for fresh air at night. The beds were comfortable and the neighbourhood was peaceful and quiet - I slept very well. The kitchen, bathrooms and laundry were all very well appointed. The property is located at the top of a decently steep hill, so keep that in mind if you're planning to do a lot of walking to and from the ferry terminal. There were good restaurants, fast food options and grocery options a short walk or drive away. Anil was an amazing host - super responsive to messages, forthcoming with information prior to our arrival, and I so appreciated how uncomplicated the check in and check out processes were. Definitely a 10/10 caliber host and a fantastic property for a very reasonable rate.
