Just 21 miles from historic Charleston, Kiawah Island is nestled in semi-tropical wilderness, picturesque marshes, and ten miles of wide, unspoiled, golden beaches.

Our NEWLY RENOVATED, lovely cottage on the cul-de-sac in Sparrow Pond is conveniently located in West Beach with only a seven-minute walk to the ocean, five minute walk to the private pool, and Cougar Point's beautiful new clubhouse (includes a great casual restaurant)is only a quick one minute walk and is one of the five golf courses available for you to play on the island. Enjoy a leisurely three mile bike ride to Freshfields marketplace past the beautiful marsh where you will can stroll the many shops and restaurants and enjoy the outdoor movie nights. Our renters often comment that we have the BEST LOCATION on the island!

Do not worry about bringing anything but your clothes and food. We provide beach towels and beach chairs too! Bike rentals are available at discounted rates and can be waiting for you as your arrive and picked up after you depart to cruise the beach or the 30+ miles of biking trails around the island. Be sure to make time for sunsets on the beach or perhaps you would prefer our wrap-around deck which lends PRIVACY and encourages quiet downtime. WARNING! The fountains in the lagoon behind us are mesmerizing and might cause afternoon naps!!!! Rental guests must park in three parking spaces underneath the cottage in the driveway. Please No parking in front of the cottage on the street.

Overall, we had a wonderful week on Kiawah. We hunted for shells, saw lots of wildlife (alligators, dolphins, crabs, stingrays, coastal birds), rode our bikes to Night Heron Park, and ate yummy seafood!The house was in a perfect location. Walkable to the beach and pool and bikeable to just about everywhere else. The house was clean and nicely stocked, the beds and furniture were comfy and we loved having a washer and dryer in the unit. On the back deck you had views of the pond and even the ocean!!Sandy was very easy to communicate with and suggested Alligator Bikes, who we used. Check-in and checkout was a breeze and the community pool was an added bonus. We swam everyday.We’d recommend to anyone and will hopefully be back!

Best Spot in East Beach

This was our first time staying at this property, but we have stayed in Sparrow Pond 3 other times. The living areas are spacious and comfortable for 4-6 people, and the island with seating for 5 gives plenty of room along with the dining room table. The view of the lagoon with the ocean in the distance was an amazing treat as well. Beds were super comfortable, kitchen was well appointed with all the pans/cutlery/glassware you would need. The property owner was very communicative and reached out before/during/after our stay. Smoothest Kiawah trip ever!

Great for Families

The perfect spot for our family to vacation! A short and easy walk to the pool and beach. The beach wasn’t over crowded at the entry point, so we had lots of space to play. Easy to get to restaurants, grocery stores, and shopping. Sandra was great and very responsive also! Overall, a perfect spot to spend time in Kiawah!

Perfect beach cottage

We had an amazing week at this Kiawah beach cottage (4/12-4/19/25). It was well equipped and clean. The beds were comfortable. We used the washer and dryer pretty much every day. The dishwasher works well also. The host was very easy to communicate with. We had four of our own bikes, but had to rent one and the owners gave us a good recommendation on where to rent a bike from. You’re able to bike or run on trails throughout the entire island. The cottage is well shaded, as much of the island. But there is sun on the porch midday. We didn’t use the pool, but did stop in there quickly to check it out and it was easy to access. We spent our time on the beach. Would definitely recommend this to friends and consider renting again in the future ourselves!

Our Spring Break trip

This was a perfect condo for us. Very well appointed and is well located. We walked or biked everywhere. My 8 and 10 year old grandkids had a bike run in the neighborhood, and we felt quite safe letting make the run by themselves. Just could not been a better location for us! The owners could not have been more thorough in proving all a family would need for an enjoyable trip! Bring your clothes and your food…they had beach towels, buckets, shovels, chairs etc.

Sandy has a great location just behind the main gate walking distance to the cougar point clubhouse. It is about a 5 -7 minute walk to the beach and a 2 minute bike ride. The view is perfect and you can hear the waves on the deck at night. Would recommend ! Well stocked home easy check in and Sandy responds very quickly to any and all messages.

Beautiful home full of hospitality and thoughtful touches

We had a wonderful stay. The beach is a 7-8 minute walk through a beautiful, lush, green canopy. The pool is even closer. Chairs, beach toys, and a wagon are thoughtfully provided, along with plush beach towels. There’s a lovely deck for grilling. You can hear the ocean. The house was cozy and inviting. The kitchen was fully stocked and included the most complete spice cabinet and kitchen that I have ever seen in a rental! It made cooking family meals a pleasure. Communication was clear and directions were so helpful and complete. We had a wonderful experience. Would recommend to all!

Sounthern tranquility on Kiawah Island

The house was really nice, great space for a family of four adults. It was relaxing and quiet with beautiful views. Just a quick walk to the beach or pool. Since the community is private the beach was basically empty, which was a nice change from the beaches at home. I’d definitely recommend any property of Sandy’s. She was easy too communicate with and made sure we were enjoying our stay. Check-in and out were extremely easy. Having all linens, including beach towels provided was an added bonus. The furniture was comfortable. Only thing I’d recommend is possibly changing out the TV for a larger one in the sunroom. Otherwise everything was great.

Beautiful lagoon view (and glimpse of ocean) was very much enjoyed on the private, spacious deck. The layout of the house was great for family time, especially the sunroom and open kitchen! Our family lives in Atlanta where my husband and I attended Atlanta high schools and colleges. Our three girls were all raised in Atlanta attending different colleges in Georgia.

Why they chose this property

Our family has grown up visiting this beautiful island and enjoy wonderful memories . My husband proposed to me at Mingo Point in 1987 and our oldest daughter was married at the PGA clubhouse in 2012. Our children continue to spend annual vacations and holidays at Kiawah with us and now we are enjoying it with our grandchildren!!

What makes this property unique

Sparrow Pond is the ideal location on Kiawah Island. You can hear the surf from our cottage and view the ocean in the distance. The fountains on the lagoon behind us are mesmerizing especially watching the sunrise. The culdesac is wonderful for having children play without the worry of traffic. The free (for our guests) pool is only a quick 5 minute walk and the beach is only a 7 minute walk. Very safe!
