About this property
Spacious Cabin in the Mountains
Welcome to Alpine Ridge
A charming log home built by Blue Ridge Log Cabins, Alpine Ridge accommodates 13 guests with warm and welcoming decor, quality furnishings, and comfortable options for relaxation and rejuvenation. As the name suggests, Alpine Ridge sits on a ridgeline with long-range, 180-degree views that include the slopes of Beech Mountain in the distance. It's spacious and roomy enough for your entire party to spread out. The cabin offers open-concept living space on the main level with a cathedral ceiling, large windows, upscale decor, large decks, and sweeping views of the surrounding mountains. The cabin is south-facing, so you can enjoy sunrise coffee on the partially covered deck. Spend evenings grilling on the gas grill and sipping wine at sunset, but don't forget to leave room for S'mores at the fire pit for dessert!
Young and old alike will appreciate the flat usable yard, a rare amenity in the High Country. Outdoor amenities include a fire pit and a picnic area. There are many board games and an Xbox Series X with wireless controllers (bring your own Xbox games). Available in the lower-level game room is an Olhausen Pro 8 pool table, another sitting area with a pull-out sleeper sofa, a high table and bar stools, and a large-screen TV. High-speed internet is available for streaming movies or "work at home" situations. All televisions have Roku devices, so live TV is available, and you can log in to your personal streaming services. The house has Bluetooth-enabled Sonos surround-sound speakers.
Alpine Ridge is conveniently located 15 minutes from the charming ski town of Banner Elk, with snow skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, sledding, and snow tubing all just a stone's throw away. Banner Elk Winery is just down the road for wine tastings and live music. Boone is eighteen miles, and it is twenty-three miles to Blowing Rock. The village of Valle Crucis, with its riverfront park and the historic Mast General Store, is 10 miles away. While convenient to all the high country offers, Alpine Ridge sits on pastoral land with sweeping long-range views of the surrounding high mountain peaks. Alpine Ridge enjoys the best of both worlds: proximity to High Country attractions and seclusion and privacy. Experience mountain living at its best!
Walk into the main level of Alpine Ridge and find a stunning open-concept floor plan with vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, hardwood floors, and a wall of glass presenting layered long-range mountain views. The master bedroom on the main level has a comfortable king-size bed, a large ensuite bathroom with an extra-large Whirlpool soaking tub, a double vanity, and a walk-in shower. A second bedroom suite, equipped with a king bed and a full bathroom, is also on the main floor. This bedroom enjoys the closest access to the nearby front porch for reading or relaxing on two comfortable Adirondack chairs. The large, well-equipped kitchen has ample counter space and storage, modern appliances, and two sinks. The kitchen opens to the dining area, which has access to the deck by sliding doors. The dining area seats eight at the table and three more at the kitchen island, so family dinners are no problem. The deck features a gas grill for barbecues, an additional teak outdoor dining table, plenty of rocking chairs, and two more Adirondack chairs for reading and lounging. The dining room opens to the great room with its tongue-and-groove vaulted wood ceiling and large wood-burning stone fireplace. A wall of windows faces south, showcasing gorgeous sunrises to the left and sunsets to your right. The laundry/utility room is also available for your convenience.
The loft area off the great room has another large bedroom with a king-size bed, a single twin-size bed, and a full ensuite bathroom. The hardwood floors and tongue-and-groove accent wall on the lower level make the finished space warm and inviting. There is another large bedroom with a king-size bed, two twin beds (all handcrafted "twig" style), and a new ensuite bathroom with a tiled shower and towel warmer. Including the pull-out queen sleeper sofa in the basement recreation room, which has a full bathroom with a combination tub/shower, the cabin has flexible sleeping arrangements for 13 guests. The basement bedroom and recreation room each have large sliding glass doors that open to the backyard for play. Alpine Ridge is dog-friendly, so even your furry family members can enjoy life in the high country. This exquisite lodge-style mountain home has everything your family and friends need to appreciate the perfect vacation in the North Carolina mountains.

Really enjoyed our stay. Nicely furnished and equipped. Fire pit and hot tub along with pool table were wonderful. AWD definitely recommended as road was under construction. Very convenient to Banner Elk.
We enjoyed our stay. Really lovely home. This was a fantastic house. Super fast WiFi and everything you could want in a cabin :) strongly recommend.

Our family had a great time at this! It was everything the listing said and was the cleanest property we had ever stayed at we celebrated my husband's 70th birthday, there were seven of us, and our dogs. Perfect home.

This was the best VRBO experience I’ve ever had. The cabin was beautiful and made my friends feel like they were on a true mountain weekend. View of the slopes was gorgeous!

Thank you so much for sharing. We hope to see you again very soon!
We loved Alpine Ridge. The house was large enough for our 4 sons and 2 daughter in laws giving us the quiet space we each needed and a large gathering place to spend time together. The drive up was easy and the views of Beech Mountain were beautiful. Loved seeing the cows in the pastures. Definitely a place we would return to!

Thank you so much for taking the time to share regarding your stay. Your trust and your business are incredibly important to us. Its our sincerest hope that a revisit will happen, sooner rather than later.
As a '85 graduate of LMC, I know the area very well and have stayed in a variety of accommodations over the years. This beautiful home checked all the boxes for family fun! We loved the location and everyone, including my 3 adult children/spouses as well as my 9-month and 11 yr old grandsons, had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The hot tub, pool table and game console were all tremendous hits for entertainment on a rainy afternoon and evening. I would definitely recommend this home for anyone visiting the area as you won't be disappointed!

Thank you for sharing. We are so happy to hear you were happy with the home. Its our hope to see you again soon!
we were traveling in north carolina for about a month ending at this beautiful home. there was an immediate exhale as my family settled into their rooms and unpacked their belongings. the house was spacious enough that it felt like we could all just be in our own spaces and relax. the hills and the views and the wildlife were next level. so many deer, hummingbirds, fireflies, a baby skunk, chipmunk, horses and a symphony of birds. all of the decor was so cozy and welcoming . everything was so thought out to make our stay super comfortable from the fire pit outside to the mac daddy therapeutic hot tub. the surround sound throughout the house was an added bonus. it quickly become my families favorite house and property and we have been coming to the mountains for years. i love the remoteness of the property. my kids and husband loved the wi-fi being superb. the management company was great and prompt at responding to all of our questions. we do not have enough good things to say about this experience.

Thank you so much for sharing! Our greatest reward is hearing from our guest that they had a great time and enjoyed the home. Take care and we hope you will revisit again soon.
House itself was great; all amenities and clean. Location is the issue: takes 12 minutes up and down mountain; last 1.2 miles on a gravel road full of potholes. There is no way I’d stay at this remote location again. There is no mention in the description. Carolina Cabins was responsive to requests: the grill was defective and they quickly changed it out ( but should never have been there it was so defective). Overall, we had a nice stay but wouldn’t rent this home again.
Our house was very spacious for a family of 12. Location was perfect for skiing and hiking.
Kitchen was very well stocked with plenty of kitchen gadgets and servings more than enough for everyone.
We greatly enjoyed our time at this property! The views were better than described and the property was gorgeous! You could see the beech mountain slopes from the house. The house was very spacious with lots of room to spread out. We rented the house with 3 other couples and several kids. Each family took a bedroom and was very comfortable. We have done mountain trips with this group for years and this is the first house that we all agreed would be a great one to come back to!
For panoramic views, this is it. Absolutely breathtaking views from every angle of home, especially the winter wonderland we experienced. You can see the slopes of Beech Mountain from cabin as well, which was really neat. The house was well equipped in kitchen and we had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. Plenty of space for us to spread out. The first level of home was a lot of fun with all the games available as well as the pool table. We received a lot of snow during our stay and it was a lot of fun playing in snow with all the property available to use outside.
Excellent communication with property manager and owner during our departure with all the snow we received! I highly recommend this property
The property was clean, well furnished and everyone in our party was very satisfied. Although there were a few needed fixes. Master suite shower head needed to be adjusted. The front porch steps were a little slanted and could be dangerous. The views were beautiful and the property was close to Boone, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock. Lots to do in the area.

Beautiful Mountain Home
Great property and house! Had problems checking in due to not being cleaned on time. After some negotiations they paid for our dinner out since the cabin wasn't ready until 8. To windy on the porch to enjoy views but that didn't stop us from enjoying them from the inside. Great kitchen for family cooking, only thing missing was oven mits, had to use towels. Hot tub was great, rooms good. Drive up was a bit rough but not a problem, beautiful views! Great property for our dog to run around! Would stay here agian.
LOVED our stay at Alpine!!! We are super picky and the cabin was VERY clean and the hot tub well maintained. The location is beautiful! I would recommend a 4 wheel drive during the winter. We had one and had no issues with the fresh snow. Someone also came and plowed while we were there. Close enough to attractions but very private. Will be back! Side note: needs measuring cups and a few kitchen item updates. :) loved every minute though. WiFi worked perfectly too!
