Check in was smooth. Richard resides onsite and was very pleasant. The house had everything that was described in the listing. It was a short walk to the track.
The property has a very relaxing atmosphere with a beautiful back yard. The hot tub is a major plus. We were close to town, walkable to fun bars and restaurants. The owner is very attentive and responds quickly . Very enjoyable weekend.
We stayed here while in town to attend a concert at SPAC, but had a 3 year old and grandparents in tow. Location was great to get to SPAC easily, and also a short drive to downtown. The house was walking distance to a really nice playground, which my 3 year old loved. Everything was fully stocked in the house: linens, towels, shower supplies, kitchen essentials, etc. We would definitely stay again!
Stayed at Richard's place with my family for a single night on NYE 2023. The house was very nicely decorated for the holidays and provided a cozy stop on our drive back to Boston. We enjoyed a soak in the hot tub and watching town fireworks as we settled in for the night. Location was also just a short drive from downtown Saratoga Springs for dinner and breakfast the next morning. My kids especially enjoyed the copious holiday candy!
This was an excellent house in a very pretty, safe, clean neighborhood. We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the house when we walked in. It was well organized, with a well stocked kitchen. The shower was hot with great pressure, and there were lots of towels for our party of 6. The backyard was very pretty. Our only disappointment was that the hot tub was not working and we didn't find it until after we'd booked. Other than that, this house was absolutely perfect for us. I would definitely stay there again.
What an adorable cottage with so much to offer whether you're spending time indoors or out! The hot tub was a warm welcome upon arrival on a chilly night for a wedding weekend. We just loved the entire place and had wonderful beds to sleep, plenty of room for 3 adults and tv's in each room. It was a perfect location and a nice sunny place for us to take a break from all the festivities. We hope to be back during the track season. Host was available for whatever we needed. A pleasure to deal with. Thank you for a lovely weekend.
Overall, my friends and I were satisfied with our stay! Richard was really responsive to any and all questions and even gave us some suggestions around town. Unfortunately, the reason why we got this property was to use the hot tub, needless to say, it was frozen solid. So, the listing is a little misleading. We also werent entirely sure if the bedding had been cleaned since the last guests.. Besides that it was easy to navigate to and from and David was a great host!
If you're looking for a quiet, quaint neighborhood, but close to all the happenings in Saratoga springs this place is excellent. Close to restaurants, shopping, casino, and race track. The house had a beautiful backyard, multiple seating areas and a hot tub, which was so relaxing.
Only drawback was cleanliness inside. It wasn't bad at all; little things like trash in kitchen hadn't been taken out, looks like the tub wasn't fully cleaned. Outdoor patio furniture needed a good wipe down and some of the cushions were dirty yet nothing that would hinder us staying again though. Definitely recommend!
The house was perfect for up to 6 people. It was cozy, clean and quaint. The backyard looked so beautiful but it was way too cold to enjoy it. We sure did say next time we come back we will enjoy the hot tub and the relaxing ambiance of the backyard. The house was decorated with white holiday lights that were being turned on after Thanksgiving. We were sad to miss out on seeing the house with the holiday lights. The house is on a corner, has a one car driveway and lots of street parking. The owner was very easy to communicate with and quick in response. It’s somewhat close to the main area but in November way too cold for us to walk so we drove to Broadway , about a mile. The house was set at 60 but we turned up the temperature and the house warmed up within a half hour. We relaxed and laughed a lot on the super comfy couches. It has a nice size kitchen and dining area. The beds and rooms were cozy and warm. We loved all the horse decor inside and outside because it’s within proximity to the the horse race track. I would highly recommend this house and we plan on going back in a warmer season. Thank you for allowing us to create beautiful memories in your home.
Directions for check in were easy to follow and the house was a good size. Unfortunately, the first night we were unable to use the hot tub as the screen is touch screen and it was frozen and also in a completely different language. After contacting the owner we were able to get it working the second night, but still in another language unfortunately - you just kinda had to figure it out. We had a bunch of food on the counter that sadly had to get tossed because there was an influx of ants on the counters and we couldn’t figure out where they were coming from, but thus they were with us for our stay the whole weekend. When I mentioned this to the owner, he acused me of lying about the ants. The outdoor lounge area was nice but unfortunately the tv out there didn’t connect to the wifi so it wouldn’t work. Again, after letting the owner know about this, he insinuated that we were too stupid to figure out how to work the tv. The outdoor ashtrays were filled with cigarette butts and other garbage, so they were not cleaned out prior to our stay. The bathtub had some weird stains on the floor of the tub. The beds were also very hard, I wouldn’t recommend sleeping on them for more than a night or two. Overall, based on the experience we had communicating with the owner would be enough for us to not go back. At least the ants weren’t mean to us.
My husband and I stayed here for the weekend. We are very active and enjoyed the walk into town. We saw a comedy show in town and ventured nearby for a Haunted Hayride. The food in town was amazing and definitely recommend Mimi’s for breakfast
