About this property

Our SECOND HOME beach apartment is truly designed as a second home. A place to where we can escape from the world and reconnect with ourselves. It has all the amenities one needs, like a comfortable living room, high quality mattress and linens, cozy sitting on the terrace to watch the sunset, fully equipped kitchen, and airconditioning in each room. It is located just two houses away from the beautiful white sand beach of Simpson Bay.

This apartment is an ideal getaway for two people. It is located on the second floor which gives a nice view and undisturbed experience. The entire apartment is designed for resting, rejuvenating and fun. The mattress and the linens on the bed are comfortable and with the door open to the terrace, and the sunshine coming in, it makes it a wonderful place to stay. The living room area is just as comfortable and refreshing. And when you get tired from all this relaxing, the beach and the crystal clear water is right there for you. The beach is almost 2 miles long so apart from swimming it is ideal for long walks and runs. There are 3 different bars/restaurants on the way so you do not even need your shoes to go for breakfast/lunch/dinner or a drink. On top of that there is about 20 different restaurants in the area so you never have to go far for a nice meal and every day you can choose a different place. This apartment and its location is really ideal place to forget about the world and rejuvenate. To complete this wonderful experience of leisure I would also recommend a visit to a spa. If you decide to stay in this home I really hope you will find it here as beautiful as we do and that it will bring you plenty of joy, rest and some new energy and inspiration. It has been working this way for us.

Simona's 1BR is a lovely place to stay near the beach. Simpson Bay Beach is not busy or crowded, but it has a long, wide stretch of smooth white sand and beautiful turquoise water. The apartment is less than 2 minutes walk away. Simona has included two beach chairs and an umbrella, so you have everything you need, and picking up supplies is easy with several small grocery stores within a 5-minute walk. The area felt safe, and the long balcony provided a wonderful place to spend the morning or evening hours when the hot sun was not out. Simona was friendly, quick to respond and provided all kinds of information. The apartment was well supplied with everything you need. We loved our 9 days here.

This accommodation was so well stocked with everything! from salt and pepper, olive oil, washing machine soap, beach chairs, cooler, etc. etc . Lots of space for 2 people. Loved the fact that it was so close to the beach. Highly recommend this accommodation. Would definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful Apartment

Close proximity to airport and restaurants, easy to find. Stairs are on side of building as stated so keep that in mind when bringing luggages as it’s quite a few stairs to get to third floor but once you get there apartment is immaculate everything you need she has, we needed an iron she had the house keeper bring it to us in no time. Host was pleasant and accessible by messaging . We were there during Hurricane Tammy and she checked in with us quite frequently which was comforting. Neighbors are friendly no one bothers you. Will definitely stay there again.

We stayed for 10 days. It was my boyfriends first time in St. Maarten and my return back to the island. Simona has everything you could possibly need in the apartment. It is a safe area with the beach a short walk away. The neighbors were also all very nice and reminded me of why I love St. Maarten so much, the people. I loved waking up to the sound of the ocean and birds every morning. Perfect vacation. Thank you Simona!

I have lived on St. Maarten for about 17 years now. One day I was flying through this island to visit Dominica and I decided to stay and give it a try. I was 22 years old at that time. And it was a success! For past 10 years I have been a booking agent to the properties I prepared. I enjoy architecture, home design, feng shui, gardening, tourism and this "job" is a nice combination of all of them.

Why they chose this property

I have been waiting for this property to become available for about 5 years. To me, it was not just an apartment by the beach with a nice view, but this place had some form of magic. I used it as my own place for about 8 years and even today, when I spend very little time there, it is still very dear to my heart. It gives me pleasure to know that some other people may enjoy it and appreciate it as I do instead of having it closed, waiting for me to come.

What makes this property unique

This place is perfectly located. I have lived in different parts of the island but Simpson Bay is my favorite part. Everything is close by, people are very friendly, this beach is one of the longest and the most beautiful ones here and I enjoy the mixture of local culture and tourism. The local residence keep the neighborhood very safe and alive. It is not an artificial environment. And the touristic part brings in restaurants and bars on the beach, that create a vacation-like atmosphere and very enjoyable dining.
