The great part of this property is the location: right across the street from Kamaole II. It has beautiful grounds, with a little fountain. The swimming pool was not bad. One downside of the apartment was the glass windows that separated the master bedroom from the pull out couch. That didn't give us a lot of privacy. I left some cardboard that I used to create privacy. There was a bit of a smell in the master bathroom. Cleaning of things like the shower wall and the vent above the toilet were poor. The big downside were the cockroaches. There were adults and nymphs in the kitchen, in the drawers, in the bathroom closest to the kitchen. The whole Maui Banyan property gets treatments every Wednesday, but obviously the pest control is ineffective. The tea kettle was a horrifying cemetery for cockroaches. I hope it gets replaced. We notified the manager and hope they improve this, and the manager was kind enough to process a small refund for our troubles.

Great Spot to Enjoy Maui

Very clean in great location. The pull out sleeper it’s probably in need of replacing and a toilet valve was leaking a little bit. That is not a complaint that is just an observation. Very quiet condo

Overall well equipped. Paperwork sent out needs to be updated with new WiFi. Could use some painting and spiffing up. Couldn’t open the safe so it was useless but overall a good place to stay.

Solid Maui location, beach adjacent rental

Condo was kept in good condition. Ample bedding and great location for walking to restaurants and the beach. Parking and check-in process were straightforward. Friend with allergies could not stop sniffling in this unit (other rooms in Maui Banyan building were OK). Master bedroom A/C unit was not cooling the room and could only circulate air around. Secondary bathroom ventilation had seen better days as well. No other complaints for the price of the rental.

Whale of a story

1st time in Maui and at the Banyan, it did not disappoint!! The location of this property/condo is fantastic...beaches right across the street. We drove the Hana hwy, watched surfing on the way, went to Twinsfalls waterfall (little disappointed thought it would be more WOW than it was) enjoyed lunch on the bay in Hana, cool black sand. Snorkled in Honalula Bay saw amazing beautiful fish and a Barracuda (scared me out of the water haha). Black rock great snorkeling too. kayaked between Kamaole 1 Beach and Maluaka Beach saw the whales and hear them...we do have a whale of a story☆☆☆☆☆:] frequented a few delicious local hang outs...places to try Loekos Kitchen, Maui brew company, Paia fish company and Fred's close to Banyan. Cheers Maui see you next year🍹🍷🦎🐳💖

Excellent location, across the street from Kam II

The condo was well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy the beach, boogie boards, snorkels and fins and beach chairs. Everything I needed was there to cook meals and the grills downstairs are always clean and ready to use. Bed and couch were comfortable. The little things you don’t think about until you need them were supplied like, detergent for washing clothes, extra trash bags and plenty of Kleenex and toilet paper. We had one small issue with figuring out the tv when we arrived, no big deal. I emailed Dan, the owner, and in minutes he was calling the condo to help me figure it out. Customer service like that is almost unheard of! We would definitely stay here again. However, It can get a little noisy with delivery trucks and people loading and unloading. Only one negative worth mentioning, the tub/shower in the bedroom drained so so slowly that we only showered in the other bathroom. Thanks Dan, your place is lovely and you are a great host.

Simple but perfect place. Location was amazing (not only across the beach but the actual condo is very close to the beach) Excellent communication and host was very accommodating. My only issue which was pretty minor is the sliding glass door that separates the room to the living room. I would recommend different curtains instead of the ones that are there now. But overall would definitely stay here again

Kihei condo

We were a little disappointed in this condo. Description said it was remodeled - it did have newer flooring and perhaps some new bathroom tile. But old fixtures in sinks and showers which were desperately in need of change. TV’s were difficult to figure out and window coverings were terrible. On the bright side it had all the supply’s we needed And the owner was very responsive.

Basic accommodations in a great location. Walk to the beach with provided beach chairs. Walking to lots of shops and restaurants. Great sunsets! Bathrooms could have been a little bit cleaner, there were cleaning products under the sinks. Very little provided for starters so bring your own coffee to get yourself started.Parking place very close to unit but a very tight fit if your rental is an suv. Overall good place for the price.

Great location, very quiet

Communication with the owner was very good. My only comment was the unit did not have a cooler or cooler bag to take your food to the beach or a road trip, it would have been nice to have one, so you will need to buy or bring your own. I did ask the owner and he did not provide one. There was only two beach towels; however, plenty of dishes, cookware and flatware.

Great condo and great location

I found the place to be nicer than the photos would make it seem. Spacious and clean with a comfortable king bed in the bedroom. The large doors open to the lanai which is more than adequate for breakfast while taking in ocean views. The Maui Banyan complex is nice and well maintained. Kids liked the pool (there are two identical pool areas) and hot tubs. You are right across from a fantastic beach. Walk a little south and you are at some good snorkelling spots with turtles, fish, and colourful reefs. Unit is close to the elevator/stairs, two flights down to the office and pool. Would stay again.

Fantastic location

My husband and I stayed a week and really enjoyed the condo. It’s just right across the street from the beach (beautiful sunsets) and so close to restaurants and shopping. The condo was clean and 2 bathrooms is perfect for us. We would definitely stay here again!
