This was the perfect amount of space for two people and the location is fantastic--right at Audubon Park and close to Magazine Street's eating and shopping. We loved it! We will definitely stay again on our next visit.
Had a fantastic time staying here for a few nights of Mardi Gras-the location is great and accessible to the park and walking into uptown or an easy trolley ride to other parts of the city. Tons of charm in this historic and well appointed apartment-would love to stay again!
Walking to the river and the park was the highlight of our trip, so the location was wonderful. The place was charming and very comfortable. Couldn’t be better.
It was a lovely space. The spiral staircase was a little difficult to navigate. And the AC system was very loud. It was clean & comfortable & met our needs
As a solo traveler - this place was perfect for me to come back and finish work/relax. My favorite part of this place was how close it was to the Tree of Life. Every morning and evening I was able to listen to the birds and enjoy sitting by the tree.
Location was amazing to be right on AudubonPark .A little eclectic, being upstairs, access via spiral staircase. But loved it!Felt like being home.We spent most of our time house hunting NOLA, so we can become New Orleanians Douglas
The perfect place for a quick getaway! Right on Audubon Park where we walked every morning! Close to Magazine Street and St. Charles Avenue, so you can walk to many restaurants and Whole Foods, as well as to the streetcar to enjoy the Garden District and the French Quarter. Cozy bed and lots of books to read as well. We loved our time there and Ulrike was the perfect hostess!
I was in town for Tulane graduation and wanted a place to be near the university and allow for walking to get around. This cozy place met my expectations and also allowed for some great rest. Listening to the rain at night in the trees was a calming balm for this tired momma.

Unfortunately I was not able to meet Claire because we were out of town. But I can say that I truly appreciate the way she left the apartment: spotless and obviously taking really good care!
I hope she’ll visit again so we can visit for a bit.
Very charming and well equipped. Nice space with a full kitchen and lounging area. Good bath and shower facilities. Good deck. Very quiet and close to Magazine street shopping as well as some excellent neighborhood restaurants (superior to the big name ones downtown). Very accommodating host.
If your decoration of choice are books, art and music, if you consider birdsong the best wake up call in the world, if walking around a safe neighborhood brimming with with beautiful historical landmarks is your dream vacation, this loft is for you! The hosts are discreet which adds to the privacy provided by the loft's separate entrance, highly recommended if you want to hide away in a bubble of perfection and joy surrounded by nature, did I mention Audubon Park is outside the front door?! We didn't want to leave!
From beginning to end, our stay in Ulrike and Steve’s loft apartment was terrific. They greeted us on arrival, gave us a tour of the apartment, and generally made us feel welcome. We loved the artistic vibe of the space, with beautiful light from numerous windows. The apartment is adjacent to Audubon Park, which is a jewel in New Orleans’ crown. Magazine St is a short walk away as well.GREAT STAY!
The decor was College Art Professor come Van Gogh. The host was extremely welcoming and accomodating. The place was very clean and the zoo and the edge of the Mississippi River are walking distance. My stay was cut short because of having some valuables stolen during my travels but I couldnt have pick a better place to squirrel off to after the fête I attended during the day.
Its a tiny walk to things, which on a less muggy day, would be lovely. Mid summer it wasnt the best idea. But most things are walking distance, including Whole Foods.
The host was very kind and accommodating, and the space was beautiful and within walking distance to everything we needed especially during the busy Mardi Gras season.
Quiet and still east to get to FQ and all the events
Amazing smell of 100 year old wood greet you. The 700+ books embrace you. Once the sun goes down, nature makes itself known. 4 blocks from Magazine St Bus. Easy and cheap commute to the party, and then peaceful and relaxing when you get back.
