One of Long Beach's iconic properties has been brought to vrbo to share in the beauty of the Esser House!
Long Beach Historic Landmark: This Home is a fine example of Spanish Colonial Revival architecture, it was completed in 1929 just prior to the Great Depression. The architecture evokes the romance of the Mediterranean and of Spanish California during the housing boom of the prosperous 1920's. Please note this is an historic building and much we tak great pride in maintaining the original character of the home!
An oasis in a vibrant city with a spacious layout and incredible privacy.

Very quaint and charming home. Great location close to the beach, activities, and restaurants! The only con is that parking is EXTREMELY limited, especially at night. There is one parking spot for the unit, the rest is first come, first serve street parking and I circled for about 30 mins at night before getting lucky with someone pulling out of a spot finally.
Wonderful property. Comfortable for all. Only suggestion would be adding dish towels for the dishes and more silverware. Would definitely stay again and recommend to a friend!
The property is located within 10 mins of great restaurants and bars and it comes with its own parking spot. We were there for a work conference at the Convention Center which was a short walk from the house. Check in was easy and check out was even easier.
Gorgeous home. Perfectly located
Equipped well. Thank you for the opportunity to
Stay in your place

The house was beautiful and clean. We were able to walk to the Aquarium of the Pacific, in less than 30 minutes.
There are some homeless in the area, but felt safe in the day, we didn't really go out at night. There was 1 parking space. During the day parking is easy, but later it gets hard to find a spot.
I saw an earlier review that mentioned a shortage of silverware and only 1 dishtowel. There are 6 forks, 1 large spoon, one small spoon and 1 dishtowel and 1 washcloth. There are 3 plastic wine glasses. So, other than being short on some items, it was a very nice stay.
There is a Mexican restaraunt a couple blocks away that is good.
Spent 5 days in Long Beach for a family wedding. The house was totally comfortable for the six of us. Check in was seamless, close to the beach and lots of food options nearby. We couldn’t have been happier.
I rented this property because I wanted to be close to Shoreline Drive. It's a great location - easy to get around by car or on foot. The unit is one of three in the building, which wasn't entirely clear in the listing. The other two units are apartments. The bathrooms and kitchen have been recently renovated and it's clear that the whole house has had a once-over, but it does look, feel, and smell like an old house. Nothing wrong with it - it doesn't smell bad, just to be clear - just old. Light sleepers should be aware that the floors are pretty but very, very creaky. Plan to bring your own toiletries as none were out for us. Parking is a little weird - you park halfway in the driveway, halfway in the street. This means that the longer your car, the more you risk either getting a ticket by blocking the sidewalk or getting hit by a passing car by being too far in the street. Again, not wrong, just weird. If you want an old, big house with a great location, this is a great choice. There are a few details and upgrades that would bring this up to five stars, but it's perfectly good as it is.
My daughter and her friends wanted a trip to finish their senior year with a bang. Plus wanted to try adulting! 😂This place was perfect. I got my space, they got theirs. Close to lots of places, very quiet and we all loved the mattresses 😉. Best sleep in a long time. Would highly recommend this place. The owner was very easy to work with. They adults very well.

Family Vacation
Rental was as pictured and clean. The check-in process was not met and there was a delay in gaining access to the home.

There wasn't no access for a wheelchair
We didn't get stay at the property because one of are party had a power chair and we couldn't get him in the house even with the ramp we brought. So we had to get a motel room. Oh there wasn't no parking spots now that was bad.
Loved the Spanish/Mexican feel, especially all the nooks and crannies. The rooms are Large. One couch old and uncomfortable.could use a bit more living room seating for 6 adults/teens. Blankets plentiful. Did not appreciate the smell of marijuana near the TV or finding the stash in the armoire below the TV!!! (We left it all there!) Comfortable walk to the Convention Center for volleyball tournament.
