Our stay here was wonderful! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated with a great layout. Had everything we needed and then some. Chris was incredibly helpful and was easy to communicate with. We especially loved the patio area unfortunately we weren’t able to use it because of the Christmas storm. The kitchen is AMAZING and so is the master bathroom! Can’t wait to come back!

Relaxing vacation

Family had an amazing time in Carmel/Monterey. House met needs of our family and provided a relaxing environment (inside and outside) to play games, do puzzles and catch up. Loved the proximity to trails to the beach.

This is a beautiful and well appointed home in a lovely neighborhood with ocean views and within walking distance of a great beach path. A short drive into Carmel by the Sea and even shorter drive to Point Lobos State Reserve. The owner was very responsive to our every need and we would stay here again.

This was an ideal location with access to amazing trails along the ocean and an interesting beach full of wildlife. It was just a few minutes drive to downtown Carmel and Carmel beach. It was nice to be return to this quiet neighborhood after some time in town. The home was very beautiful and the hosts were easy to communicate with and quick to resolve any issues.

Great vacation

Gorgeous house with great amenities. Our party comprised of three adults, a teen and an 11-year-old. Only 10 minutes on trails leading to two spectacular beaches. We loved the outside courtyard, which had a barbecue, pizza oven, fire pit, and lots of comfy sofas. Safeway is only five minutes away, so no need to stock up before you arrive.We will definitely stay here again.

Chris was really responsive from giving us restaurant recommendations or any other questios we needed. He had planned to go to the Pebble Beach AT&T pro-am but when he.found out it was a retirement gift for my husband, he made pther plans. Just really nice.We absolutely loved the house. When can we move in? It had everything we needed. Found out Betty White owned a house in the same neighborhood. We did not get a chance to enjoy the outside mostly due to our schedule and the weather. Loved the kitchen and bathrooms especially. I want that kitchen with the wine fridge! The welcome bottle of wine was a nice touch. The house was very clean! We liked the location. Right near a grocery and drug store, along with pther stores. The beach nearby is beautiful!! Trust me, this house has everything you need and more!! I would stay in Carmel again versus Monterey. We just liked the area better. The house was a great fit for us!!!!We would stay again for sure!.Thank you Chris for everything!

Carmel Beach Home

Home and location is perfect!No issues with anything at the home, it’s large and comfortable, check-in is smooth.Area is beautiful, Carmel by the Sea and Big Sur close by.Loved the outside area to hang out and enjoy a beverage by the fire pit.At the end of the street is a trail to the beach for hiking and to enjoy the sunset.Home had everything needed for the stay.Will definitely return!

Excellent, spectacular home and absolutely loved staying here!!! The location is great with only a 10 minute walk to the beach and trails along the beach with stunning ocean views. Driving into Carmel was a quick drive plus there are two other shopping centers nearby that had cute restaurants and shops. The house is beautifully decorated, all the listed amenities are impressive and everything far exceeded our expectations! Very thoughtful welcoming “touches”. Chris is a great communicator! Overall it was fantastic and definitely will be back!!

A Restful Break in a Beautiful Home

This is a lovely home with a perfect floor plan for family and friends to socialize and be together. Significant private outside space enables one to enjoy fresh air and sunshine. Close to great restaurants and all the sites of the region. Thank you for loaning us the gem!

Amazing vacation

Chris’s house was perfect for our family vacation to Carmel. It is an absolutely stunning house with everything that we needed. The beds were comfortable, everything was spotless; we truly could not have asked for anything more for our amazing Carmel vacation. The indoor outdoor space was fantastic and the beach access at the back of the neighborhood was such a wonderful bonus. It’s a semi-private beach and we spent many nights outside watching the sunset over the Pacific. Thanks so much Chris – we loved our stay.

Awesome property! Well enough space for 4 adults and 2 kids. Great courtyard to hang out in. It’s the perfect location - close to the coast but also close to downtown. It’s walking distance to the coast and trails (approx 10 min walk through the neighborhood). It’s also a short drive (less than 5 min) to a shopping center with Safeway, Starbucks, and more. About a 15/20 min drive to downtown Carmel and Monterey. Chris was a great host! He was readily available for questions or concerns (which there were none). He had suggestions on restaurants, etc. He also set up a crib and set out some toys once he found out we would have a baby with us, which was a very nice touch. 10/10 would stay again!

Beyond expectations

Had not been to the area before and researched extensively. A touch south of Carmel proper, but after doing it, I wouldn’t do it any other way. We were 4-6 minutes from all the retail and restaurant fun in town but maybe 400 yds from alll the coastal glory that this part of the world can provide. Otters, seals an the awesome power of the pacific as I’ve never experienced. Great neighborhood and the house is special, fully stocked and owner communication and assistance exceptional. Price compared to other options seemed perfect for us. Do not hesitate.

Beautiful home in a great location

This home was exactly as advertised. It was 5-star all the way. Clean, comfortable, open floor plan with great outdoor amenities. The host was readily available to handle all our questions. Unfortunately, due to severe storms in California, several days were wet and cold. Worst of all, we were without power for almost half of our 6-day visit. This meant we were without lights, heat, refrigeration, tv’s, phone chargers, etc. Some of Carmel’s restaurants, shopping, and fitness centers were closed due to the power outages. Certainly put a damper on the family vacation, but we realize that this was out of anyone’s hands. We made the best of the situation and had an overall great time visiting this beautiful part of the country.

One of a kind spot

We were traveling with our 10 month old son, 3.5 year old daughter and two elderly parents The host had everything we need to immediately be at home without having to bring along significant gear for the kids. The spot was in the perfect location for driving into Big Sur and also had direct access to a great beach. We especially enjoyed being able to cook at home in the expansive kitchen and even got a chance to utilize the wood fire pizza oven. We will be back for sure in years to come.

A dream trip 8 months in the waiting!

My husband and I and my two adult children just returned from a week's stay at this incredible Carmel home. We planned this trip 8 months in advance as a birthday celebration (a BIG one for me!) which also included a 3-day pass to the Monterey Jazz Festival. The trip was everything we had hoped for, and the house was a huge reason for that. It was important for us to all be together in our accommodation but still have the privacy of 3 bedrooms. The kitchen is amazing as is the outdoor space. It took only 5 minutes to walk to the coastline path to stroll or watch the sunset. It was about a 5- minute drive to the grocery and 15 minutes to Monterey. I'm so glad we stayed in this beautiful house instead of somewhere in Monterey because it was quiet and low-key. We had zero trouble checking in and found everything in working order. Chris responded quickly to text messages from us, but we didn't need to ask for much! He also recommended a wonderful restaurant for our birthday celebration, and we were not disappointed. Usually when you anticipate a trip this "big" for this long, you end up being somewhat disappointed, but this didn't happen! Instead, by mid-week, I began to awaken each morning with that dread when you realize something has to come to an end. We've been home 4 days now and I still find my mind drifting to the memory of this place. Finally, I want to say that an important factor in our choosing to make this reservation was the ability, if needed, to receive a 100% refund within just a few weeks of our planned arrival. We have been caring for my husband's elderly parents which has involved various health crises over the past year. It was critical for us to lock-in a reservation but also have the flexibility that this reservation afforded us. I'm so glad that we didn't have to cancel! These memories will last a lifetime. The Perfect Modern Find!

What can I say? I’m a word WONDERFUL. When you are spending good money for a Summer extended vacation home you want the best. This property was the best. Everything is updated. Outdoor patio space was highly utitlized for cooking, dining, and just enjoying the cool Carmel days and evenings. The house is in a quaint neighbor with friendly neighbors. We walked daily to the trail 2 blocks down that lead to the ocean and hiking trails that stretches from Monestary Beach to Carmel River Beach. We’ve been going to Carmel for over 20 years and have found mostly average homes, with home owners typically not having any updates whatsoever. Beds are full size in 2 bedrooms but that didn’t seem to bother our guests, just noted. This home was far above average for the area and has the updates, which was not expected but so welcome! Great living room TV with surround sound, updated appliances, even the coffee machine rivals Starbucks! Chris was extremely responsive on anything we needed. Can’t stress enough that the homeowner is far and beyond better than Ny of the others before. My mom is slowing down quite a bit but with no stairs and all the amenities, along with being 5 minute drive to the Crossroads Shopping Center, she was quite comfortable for her extended stay. Excellent, excellent, excellent!

An Oasis

Our family gathered for a wedding in Big Sur and this was the perfect location between SFO and the wedding venues. This house is amazing! Just a few steps away from several hiking trails along the beach, a five-minute drive to pick up groceries (which you will want access to so you can use the gas grill, charcoal grill, rotisserie, pizza oven and the most fabulous kitchen). Deciding between cooking at the house vs. eating out at the many amazing close-by restaurants was a struggle. It was the perfect oasis to unwind after a day of festivities with the family. Minor issues were immediately addressed. Every amenity you can think of was available in the house. We are an east coast family but would immediately return to this property if given the chance.

Wonderful house

My 3 sisters and I stayed here for a week to celebrate an 80th birthday. The house was clean, spacious, had top of the line appliances and very comfortable beds. We enjoyed the courtyard fire pit and fountain. It was a short walk to a beautiful beach with lots of walking trails. The location is close to a shopping center for groceries, etc. Chris was very helpful and answered all my questions quickly.
