One of the coolest things about this home is that you have so much wildlife right out the back door! Manatees, dolphins, fish and water birds are some of the natural delights you'll encounter. It's protected across the water from the house so there are no buildings to distract from the peace and beauty as you sit on the back porch and relax after a day of boating or kayaking.
If you have a small, flat bottom boat you can keep it right on the dock and have it to use as you step right out the back door. Make sure you follow the tides closely however, because there are rocks back there at low tide. If you have a bigger boat there are public boat ramps within minutes from the house. Travel down the road, launch your boat and be out in the Gulf of Mexico before you know it. Scallop season is big in Crystal River and you could be heading home with a bucket of fresh caught scallops to grill on the back porch.
Downtown Crystal River has some cute shops and delicious restaurants if you decide to take a break from the water or just want to grab a bite to eat before driving down to Fort Island Trail beach to watch the sunset.
