About this property

Unique apartment: 18th century glazed tiles /azulejos/ in city center

In the center of town, close to the Parliament, a short walking distance to Chiado and Bairro Alto, with their nightlife, shops, museums and theatres, and on the route of tram 28, the most scenic tram in Lisbon...

The building underwent full renovation in 2004 and the project was awarded the second prize in an yearly competition that appraises the reconstruction of old town buildings throughout Portugal. Its major source of beauty are the glazed tiles (azulejos), dating from the 18th and 19th centuries, which are different from floor to floor, thus rendering each apartment unique.

Why they chose this property

I saw the glazed tiles and the wooden floors and that was it -- decision taken! Also, I had attended school very close by, so everything felt like home.
