K/Q/Q/2Twins From Holden Beach Town Hall: The Beach Strand: (Use CAMA marked public access points unless you are entitled to use designated private walkways to the beach as a rental customer or property owner.) 1. The line of sand dunes with fragile beach vegetation along the south side of Ocean Boulevard provides protection from storms. Please do not walk over the dunes to the ocean. Use the wooden walkways and ramps. Public walkways are marked with a CAMA sign. Others are private. Collect sea shells and other “beach treasures” at your leisure. 2. Only emergency and official Town Staff vehicles are allowed to drive on the beach. 3. There are no lifeguards when swimming. RIP TIDES can kill you. Check with Town Hall (842-6488) to see if RIP TIDES are in present. If you get caught in a rip tide pulling you away from shore, swim parallel to the shoreline until you get out of the current — do not try to swim against the current back to shore. 4. A popular place to “fish, wade, and shell” is at the extreme east end of the island along McCray Street . Be aware there is dangerous underwater debris in that area that should be avoided at periods of high tide — at low tide you can see it. The Town checks the beach daily, if dangerous debris is noticed, call Town Hall (842-6488). 5. Jet Skis should only be operated outside 500 feet from shore. Do not ride skis onto the beach strand. Town Courtesy Patrol personnel ride the beach during the summer to monitor this activity. 6. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed anywhere on the beach strand — or in any public place. 7. Trash receptacles are placed along the beach for your convenience, please do not litter. 8. Pets are not allowed on the beach from May 20 to September 10, except between 5 P.M. and 9 A.M. daily. Pets must be on a leash at all times on the island. 9. No surfboard shall be carried, pushed, wheeled, ridden or otherwise used on the beach strand and/or adjacent ocean waters within 500 feet of any fishing pier located on or adjacent to property within Town limits. 10. It is unlawful to dig into the sand on any part of the beach strand greater than 12 inches deep, without having a responsible person attending the area. Prior to leaving the area, any hole greater than 12 inches deep shall be filled to be level with the surrounding area, leaving the area in the same general condition in which it was found. 11. Beginning April 23, 2011, all unattended beach equipment must be removed from the beach by its owner or permitted user on a daily basis between the hours of 6PM and 7AM. Click here to read the ordinance with specific details. Boating & Fishing: (Boat ramps are located under and near the bridge.) 1. If you fish in the surf, please be courteous to those swimming and relaxing nearby. 2. Effective January 1, 2007, a North Carolina Coastal Recreational Fishing License is required. Licenses are available from any DMF office, WRC license agents (which includes most Wal-Mart stores), online at WRC’s website, www.ncwildlife.org or by calling 888-248-6834. 2. You may not land your powered boat anywhere along the oceanfront. Sail boards and small sail boats may temporarily land along the beach. Be careful of swimmers. 3. Observe NO WAKE zones along the Intracoastal Waterway. Island Wide Ordinances: ( Note posted speed limit signs) 1. No Parking on Ocean Boulevard or McCray Street, except for the northern end of McCray Street east of Dunescape Drive. Observe signs for exact parking prohibitions. The largest public parking lot is under the bridge. Public Restrooms are located there as well. An unloading and pedestrian “drop-off” point is located at the bridgehead west of Cap‘t Pete‘s Apartments. Park all along Brunswick Avenue East and West. Do not block driveways or fire hydrants. 2. Bikes, roller-blades and pedestrians please share the sidewalk. No roller-blades on Ocean Boulevard. 3. FIREWORKS (except for sparklers) are not allowed on the island. They will be confiscated by the Police if found. Please see the holden beach website: https://holdenbeachnc.com/holden-beach-rules-and-regulations/ Take care of the turtles. At night before retiring, turn off all lights that face the ocean, including carports, and, if staying up late, close blinds and draperies in oceanfront rooms between May 1st and October 31st. Visit http://www.hbturtlewatch.org to learn more of this exciting event that you may encounter. From the owners: Life is a Beach. The Beach is a Beach. The house is not the beach :-) Please wash off the sand and dump the shells before entering the home. Plumbing may handle a little bit of sand down a drain, but can quickly clog if abused. Be safe and shake the sand out of clothes and towels before washing. Please don't re-decorate or re-arrange furniture. If the decorum or nature of the furnishings is not compatible with your stay, please contact the owner. We are happy to discuss potential options of how to improve your stay. The owners have brought their dogs to the home during renovation. Pets were never allowed on any furniture nor upstairs. Although this is not a pet-friendly home for renters, and no pets will be brought to the home during peak season, the owner reserves the right to bring their pets to the home during the off season; they are never allowed up stairs or on any furniture at any time, in any way... they're rather lazy loungers. However, if you or someone in your party have had severe allergies to pets, you may want to reconsider SeaDated.

House is comfortable and in a beautiful area. Cozier layout and the house made good use of all of the spaces. Nice touches (soft blankets and electric fireplace) were appreciated.
The perfect getaway! The host was beyond accommodating. The home was immaculate and well outfitted. The location ideal with stores for provisioning close by as well as a nice selection of restaurants. Sunrise and sunset from the deck. Watch the pelicans and dolphins frolic. Walk the long beautiful and clean beach, while collecting shells and sharks teeth. We can’t wait to return!
This is the nicest, most well-appointed rental home I’ve ever stayed in! Everything you might need is here, and more! The furnishings are beautiful, and the view of both sunsets and sunrises is unmatched. Hoping to return next year!
This is our second time staying in this wonderful house, and it will not be our last. The home is beautiful, clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. The location is perfect, just a short path right onto the beach. The host is excellent; he is prompt with communication and very accommodating. It was a memorable vacation.
What a sweet home! Perfect location, right on the beach and walking distance to good restaurants and coffee shop. The home is nicely updated and comfy. (including great beach chairs and boogie boards). We want to come back to Holden Beach this winter and hope this home will be available. Chad, the owner answered every question within minutes.
The location of this house couldn’t have been better for our party (for beach access, drive to grocery store/restaurants). The kitchen was well-appointed. The beds were comfortable and the showers were great. We appreciated the extra touches like beach chairs, towels, sufficient hangers, and sufficient laundry/dishwasher detergent.
We just returned from "SeaDated" and can't speak highly enough about the property and owner Chad. The house was wonderful and had everything you needed for a great stay. The kitchen was fully stocked, the rooms, bathrooms, and house was very clean, and the location was perfect. We can't wait to return next year! Chad made check-in, communication, and check out so easy! Highly recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seadated. The home is spacious with plenty of room for our family of 6. The proximity to the beach is unbeatable and convenient. Chad was a fantastic host that was very attentive and quick to resolve a minor plumbing issue. I would highly recommend Seadated for your next getaway to Holden Beach, NC.

About the host
Hosted by Chad Ragains
After vacationing at Holden several times per year for the past 15 years, we finally pulled the trigger and bought this little slice of heaven. We spent many months renovating, and rebuilding much of the home which had been stuck in the 1980s. New/upgraded stainless appliances, quartz countertops, new cabinets, sectional, bedding, furniture, LED lighting, LED smart TVs throughout, and so much more! We've made this home exactly what we would want if we were the renters... and then kicked it up a few notches. I am sure that you'll love all that it has to offer!
Why they chose this property
They say that the most important things about a property are Location, Location, Location. Well, if an oceanfront home within walking distance to shops, restaurants and fishing isn't enough, then come on out and enjoy... relaxing! Wake up to the waves, peacefully read a book on the upper balcony and enjoy some summer thunderstorms from the unobstructed indoor views! During the winter months, you'll wake up to ocean sunrises and enjoy dinner as the sun sets over the water.
What makes this property unique
SeaDated is located 45-50 min from either Wilmington or Myrtle Beach. The local small town Shallotte is 15 min out with fast food, Walmart, Hardware, tap room, lots of local shops/businesses, etc. It's only a 5 min drive (just over the bridge) from the nearest grocery store, beach shopping, bait/tackle, sandwich shops, etc. Take a 1/3-1/2 mile stroll down the street (back toward the bridge) to a couple of our favorite island/local owned restaurants, slushy/ice cream, coffee shops/etc. I highly recommend these over driving to a chain restaurant. “Activities” aren’t typical high-profile Florida, California, Myrtle or “boardwalk” style. Here on Holden, you'll recharge while beach-sitting, porch-sipping, bike-cruising, sunrise-walking, shell-seeking, boogie-boarding (surfing if you’re lucky), paddle-boarding... I could go on. Come on out and find your new favorite vacation spot!
