David is an excellent host. He was easily accessible if needed. The property is on a beautiful piece of land with amazing views. David has thought of everything to make this a wonderful family vacation. The driveway was a little intimating but you get used to it. We loved the quiet, camp-like feel of the property and it's proximity to many attractions. We will definitely be back.
David was a super host. He was easily accessible if we needed anything. David let our son use anything he wanted out of his tackle box. David treated the entire family to a boat ride around big bay with some history of the area thrown in - so much fun. Needless to say our girls enjoyed kayaking around and our son loved taking the row boat out and fishing. It was a lovely vacation in a wonderful location with a fantastic host. We also found a cute little bakery in town if you feel like having something sweet or a scrumptious breakfast treat (Flour Child Bakery - Glens Falls).
Beautiful location and David is a wonderful host who makes sure you have everything you need. Boats, life jackets, towels, even ice in the freezer upon arrival. Our boys loved spending time by the water and on the front porch even during the torrential downpours:) Steep driveway looks tricky but in our SUV it was no problem. There are directions to get up if you don't have an SUV too. We hope to come back in the future!
Everything was very nice. The super steep driveway was a little intimidating, but other than that, it was great. Beautiful location - amazing views - very quiet.
Very nice place, a home away from home. Just bring your food and personal items. Free use of the canoe, kayaks and paddle boat. It's remote but still within easy driving distance to many places (Lake George, Ausable Chasms, etc.).
Location was wonderful. Close proximity to every place, yet extremely peaceful for relaxing.
Beautiful view of Hudson was serene, very relaxing. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. Location was wonderful. Owner checked to be sure all was well. We would definitely stay again.
It is a nice family cottage with character. The kayaking was relaxing. Pretty spot right near the water. Enjoyed having a camp fire a few of the nights. Our host was helpful and kind.
This is our 4th time staying at this accomodation and it gets better and better. Just a perfect getaway for some fishing, boating, hiking and pure R&R. David is an excellent host and will always be around to answer any questions. Can't wait to come back next year!
The property is in an ideal location close to Lake George and Saratoga. Very quiet with hiking trails nearby and fishing available onsite. David the host was great and made sure all accommodations were taken care of. We will definitely be back.
Very nice property. Beautiful river, peace and quiet.
Excellent. We spent our time attending the Adirondack Balloon Fest. Only 20 minutes away. Down time spent row boating, fishing and games. Would go back again!!!
This is our fourth time staying at this cabin this is our favorite spot. Perfect for fishing everything you need all there. David is a great host, I'm sorry we didn't get to see him on this trip.
Great cottage tucked away from the hustle and bustle yet close to everything! Perfect views of State property across the river, so no noise, lights, or bothers day or night. David provides enough boats/kayaks/gear so all five of us could be on the water together. Very relaxing experience.
The cottage was at the bottom of a very steep driveway. It was very quiet and relaxing. We were right on the Hudson River. Beautiful view. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we needed for a nice little getaway. David, the host was very nice.
My family enjoyed our stay. It seems like you’re on your own island. Couldn’t beat the fishing, boats, kayaks, etc. all within steps of the cottage. The view was stunning and an all around relaxing vacation. Close enough to all attractions and far away enough from the crowds. My teen also rates the internet speed A++.

Dear Marie,
Thanks for your kinds words. I'm happy to hear you enjoyed your stay and found the amenities worthwhile. I was also glad to hear your teen was happy with the internet! It's always one of the first questions we get...."How's the internet there"? Thank him for verifying that for me!
We hope to see you again for your future vacation plans!
Regards,
David
A quaint cottage on the Hudson River near lots of great activities. Fabulous screened in porch. You could sit out there all day and gaze at the gorgeous view. Very quiet and peaceful. The host is excellent- very responsive and clearly cares about the property. It had everything we needed for a long weekend getaway.
Location location location. This cottage was perfect.Peaceful, but also very close to shopping for last minute essentials. Puppies loved the water, and the sunsets were stunning from the enclosed porch. The owner was wonderful for responding to questions and was so welcoming to his home, and telling us the history of the cottage. We can't wait to return.
The cabin (albeit slightly aged) is in wonderful condition and can easily accommodate a family of five who, aren’t seeking pampering and luxuries. Perfect location on and view of The Hudson. All the water toys you need. If you bring your own food supplies, you have all you need to prepare it. You never have to leave until it’s time to leave. Thank you Dave!
Our stay at the cabin was relaxing! The kayaking was awesome. It was more like a lake than the Hudson River. We saw tons of wildlife, even saw a Bald Eagle!! Location is wonderful, so close to everything. We went horseback riding and did the rail bikes at revolution rail in North Hudson. David, the owner, was really great! Very friendly and attentive. It was a pleasure meeting him and hearing stories about the cabin. We hope to come back soon!
