Welcome to B.A.R.C. Haus, hosted by Simple Life Rentals! If you're planning your next-Door Country getaway, look no further. This spacious architectural home is set on 3 quiet acres in the heart of Northern Door County, convenient to Sister Bay, Ephraim, Baileys Harbor, and Fish Creek. Close to shopping, restaurants, and bars. For the outdoor explorer, you are close to beaches, lakes and hiking trails. The property is mostly a large meadow surrounded by cedar trees for privacy from passing cars. Enjoy the backyard playing yard games or sitting around the large bonfire pit.

Ideal for multiple families, the second level has North and South 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom suites. The third level has the fifth bedroom and another bathroom for a more private sleeping level with views of the property and beyond. A carpeted bonus room, located off the stairwell, is ideal for kids to play in and watch TV while the adults socialize downstairs. Enjoy the large grassy backyard playing yard games and sitting around the bonfire pit. This home has everything you're looking for!

- A starter pack of essentials which includes toilet paper, paper towel, dish soap, dishwasher soap, hand soap, and garbage bags. Due to septic systems, we do not provide facial tissue. One each of travel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash per full bathroom.
- PEACE OF MIND Damage protection covers up to $1000 per stay for accidental damage that is reported prior to departure (excludes any pet damage).

This home is located in a quiet community with neighbors and is geared towards quiet family vacations. Due to the proximity of neighbors and municipal restrictions, we cannot accommodate parties at the property including bachelor or bachelorette parties, reunions, weddings, or other gatherings.

Perfect August getaway place

Spacious, well maintained, comfortable house with plenty of space. Gorgeous yard for outdoor games for kids. Great location - short drive to the nearest towns, close to stores and farms. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Stayed here early September with extended family including 3 children under 5. Big, interesting, well-stacked house with lots of spaces. The kids really enjoyed exploring the little woods out back with the fun rocks.

Enjoyed the property. The oscillating fans are just plug into the wall ones, could use bigger fans for the bedrooms in summer months, very warm in the master on the third floor.

Great convenient location and nice property!

This was our first trip to Door County and this house was in a great central location! The house is very spacious and we had plenty of space for us 4 couples to spread out. The weather wasn't the best so we didn't use the patio or fire pit but wished we could have! Door County has great hiking, scenery, and awesome restaurants! We're already planning to return and would love to stay at this house again!

Beautiful home-Good location

We enjoyed our time with children and grandchildren in this spacious, well-equipped home. We easily accessed Peninsula State Park and enjoyed restaurants and parks in Sister Bay. Appreciated the kitchen and nice game room. Ate out on the patio. No air conditioning but only 1warm day, so we were fine!

Awesome family getaway!

We loved staying here! Location is ideal - secluded and quiet, and yet it was 10-15 minutes from all the day trips and activities. Great setup for multiple families. Kids loved the play room. Used the campfire twice, only feedback is that the plastic chairs around it break easily. Kitchen is well stocked, better than listed - as is the laundry, where we found beach towels. No AC was ok for the mild weather we had (75) and the fans in the rooms worked well.

Exceeded Our Expectations!

There were 10 in our group and there was ample room for all of us. The game room was a big hit with the children (and the adults). The patio, fire pit and yard were all well maintained with plenty of room. All of the appliances are new as well as the furniture. Our group had a great time staying at B.A.R.C. House and will do so again when the time comes.

2023 Family Vacation Door County

This is a beautiful home from home. We had a wonderful time. Thank you so much. We hope to come back. Just a few notes would be: the bed next to the playroom was uncomfortable, one bathroom fan was not working, one outdoor chair by the fire pit was broken, and the house could use a bug spray for spiders and ants.

A Beautiful Door County Cabin in the woods

Overall, we loved this property. It was very close to a lot of our favorite attractions, like Peninsula Golf, AC Tap, and Al Johnson. The house was large and very accommodating to the number of guests we had. All the bedrooms were laid out nicely and had great quality sheets and bedding. Our only issue was the lack of air conditioning on a surprisingly hot weekend in late August. We were aware of this though so that is only a point to say that having some air conditioning would have made this perfect.

Extended family getaway to Door County

Nice spacious house. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as gathering places. We enjoyed the patio and firepit. Great location to get to many attractions in Door County yet private and secluded. Plenty of parking space. Nice start up packages of toiletries, kitchen items, etc were provided.It was in the listing, but while there are many fans, no A/C. The first night, it was pretty hot. After that, luckily it cooled down outside, so was better inside as well with windows open and fans on. If at all there was a way to get central air or A/C units in the bedroom, that would be great! Saw a few more pests/insects on the first floor than would have expected but understand that this can be difficult to avoid.Check in/entry was smooth. Communication was speedy and helpful. Overall, highly recommend!

Great for family reunion

Our family gathered in Door County for a family reunion in August 2022 and 10 us us stayed at the BARC House. The bedrooms were as described and offered ample room for four couples and a few extras. The kitchen was well supplied with basics and the outdoor fire pit was a favorite. The local roads had little traffic and the area was peaceful and quiet even though we were just minutes from Ephraim and all it offers. We have a few suggestions for improvements: 1) The beautiful stainless steel refrigerator didn't freeze items in the freezer and didn't keep refrigerated items cold when it was stocked up with food. Either it isn't working well or we needed some special instructions on how to make it function better. 2) Photos showed an outdoor picnic table area and there was none - we missed that. It would be nice to have more capacity for outdoor dining. 3) There was a whole page of special instructions and restrictions that was not sent until the day we checked in. Some of those restrictions caused problems for our group - including family members who were camping with a small teardrop trailer in local campgrounds prior to the reunion and discovered the trailer could not even park at the house. It would be better to share ALL restrictions online prior to booking.

Fantastic getaway
