What a lovely house. It was perfect for our mixed age group and very comfortable to relax in. The sun room was super for late evening to benefit from the breezes after a warm day. The garden was great for our dogs. Very convenient and the outside shower to wash the sand from their fur was fantastic. Location was marvelous. Equally good for the beach and for restaurants, grocery stores and attractions. We all thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and highly recommend the house .

This is a clean, well-kept property, and the host made our stay as easy and comfortable as possible. The house has everything you could possibly need for vacation, and being able to bring our dogs and relax was incredible! Highly recommend.

Very pet friendly! If you forgot it, they probably have it! We enjoyed sitting on the porch/sunroom with coffee. It is on the quiet side of the island. We will definitely be back!

Very clean, beautiful, nice layout! Very nice furniture, comfortable beds, nice sheets and other linens washed and packaged off site. Completely fenced yard and dog friendly. Only small downside was the beautiful, bright sunroom isn’t temperature controlled so it’s really too hot to enjoy that nice space in the heat of the summer. Yes you can open the windows and there is one ceiling fan which I’m sure is just lovely in the fall, but not cool enough for NC summers.

We have stayed in a number of rentals on Oak Island and this is our favorite one. It was perfect for the two of us and our two dogs. Proximity to the beach was ideal and the overall decor and feel of the property was top notch. It’s not the biggest place, but it didn’t feel cramped and the spaces, both indoor and outdoor are incredibly usable. And it’s just a few minutes drive to all of the restaurants on Oak Island. What a fantastic place!

Close to beach access, quiet neighborhood, perfect location for our pups. We come every year and this is our favorite spot at the beach!

Wonderful Place!

First time to OKI, we always travel with our pets and this was absolutely the best property we have stayed at with them. If we ever go back there I would love to stay here again.

This home was so well stocked. The owners literally thought of everything. I was amazed at all the detail they have put into ensuring this could truly serve as a home away from home. The home is perfect for anyone traveling with dogs. It was decorated beautifully, as well.

Our family of four and one pup had the best experience at Down Time. The listing was accurate, but it was so much better in person. They have thought of everything that a human or furry friend might need! The home was comfortable and extremely clean. We enjoyed using the large dining table for board games and had a comfortable living area to watch the final four games! Our son and pup both enjoyed the outdoor shower, and the back yard is so cute. The owners were very responsive and helpful. We hope to return to Down Time in the future! One tip for guests - take your bikes if you can. The neighborhood is perfect for a family ride!1
