Very cute cabin with quick easy beach access. We couldn't use the hot tub past 10pm.

I Sarah, I'm sorry if you missed that in the description for the house. It clearly states no hot tub after 10 - I also state if this doesn't work for your party, please book somewhere else. If neighbors complain, I could lose my Tillamook license. What I do appreciate is although you would have liked to use the hot tub after 10, you didn't. Thank you for being respectful of the rules and the neighbors. Thanks for the booking.
Had a wonderful stay with my wife and cousin, walked to the beach and watched the sunset! House is absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Most of all clean!!! Thank you for the amazing communication and much needed getaway. With Love, the Ross Family.

Thank you so much for the review. Glad you appreciated the vibe of the house. My cleaner has been with me since the beginning and takes great pride in her work. Hope to host you again.
We really enjoyed our time! The location is tucked away off the main road and is an easy walk to the beach. The house has plenty of room and was nicely outfitted..

Thank you for the nice review. Hope to host you again.
Cute cabin style home with lots of beds and great access to the beach, restaurants, and boat ramp. We had all we needed within walking distance for our family and yellow lab.
Cozy and clean home, walking distance to the Cape Kiwanda area. The bedrooms are upstairs, and the bathroom is downstairs. May be an issue for someone with mobility challenges. Great stay.

The house was lovely. Plenty of space to hangout and catch up. Close to the beach and had a good selection of games. The owner was very kind and helpful. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in pacific city.

Thank you for the nice review. I hope to host you again.
Stayed at the house with a group of 8 women. Perfect amount of beds for our group and the house was comfy. The one bathroom was hard but it wasn’t a huge issue for our group. House was clean and the instructions were clear. The hot tub was fun and the walk to the beach was nice.

Thank you for the nice review and taking good care of the house.
My wife and I had a great time staying here for her birthday. It might not be what everyone is looking for but we absolutely enjoyed it. The decor was very 1970s cabin/rumpus room, which if it is your thing this place is amazing! Walking distance to Pelican brewing and the beach. Good place for a dog 🐕.

Thanks for your review. When we first bought the house, we were going to do a bunch of updates. The more we spent time there, the more we loved the vibe. Did replace the linens - now they were truly 70s.
A relaxing getaway and great launching point for adventures!
The minute you step into the house you just feel a sense of coming home! The rooms are comfy, there is room for everyone to lounge and Carol is just super nice to communicate with! The house is so centrally located too that it is just a perfect launching point - we parked when we got there and never had to move the car to whole weekend. We just left this morning and already wish we were back there :)

Thank you so much for the kind review. When we bought the house we were going to do a bunch of updates. After we stayed there, we thought everything was just perfect. We are updating the bathroom and hopefully adding a bathroom upstairs. I hope you book again.

Great location! Vintage vibes.
Host responded almost immediately but could have communicated in a kinder fashion when trouble shooting the check in key location and non working bathroom lights.

Oh shoot, I always try to be kind no matter what. You and your guest I talked to were super nice and patient. I'm giving you a refund (enough to but a burger or two at The Pelican) and again, sorry
Everything was as advertised. Great home on a quiet dead end street. 2 minute walk to the beach, 5 minute walk to pelican brewery. We love coming to pacific city, and would rent this place again in a heartbeat. You can see cape Kiwanda from the massive bedroom windows upstairs and hear the waves crash all night. The owners were easy to communicate with and the check in/out process was simple. Beautiful home with a vintage beach vibe.

Thank you. You are the first renter so the review means a lot. I love the vintage feel too. I hope to rent to you again and next time, there should be a dishwasher.
House was just a described. Clean and cozy. Plenty of beds for our group of 8. Covenant location to town and sight seing. The beach was just up the hill, but there was no simple access to it unless you want to walk up and down step hills. Although there was easy access to drive down on the beach just 1 mile down the road. Probably the biggest issue was just a others have stated, one bathroom. We definately struggled with a group of 8. Host was great, responsive and the check in process was easy. Overall, it was great for what we needed and would recommend to those wanting a comfortable and fun stay.

Not worth the cost
Decor was the only good thing. TV didnt work, pellet stove was a nightmare. Called owners 2x and got nowhere. Bedrooms up very steep, narrow stairs...only bathroom down those hazardous stairs. Do not recommended!

1970s beach house
First, the positives of the property. It was very clean. It was an easy walk to the beach. The kitchen was fully equipped. The washer and dryer were fine. The pelet stove works well for cold evenings.
The negatives. This property does not appear to have been updated at all since it was built in the 1970s. The family room was very dark and was illuminated only by three lamps. No ceiling lights. There is only one bathroom - I don't know how large groups work around that issue. There is a shower light, but we couldn't find the switch. All the beds are upstairs, and the only bathroom is downstairs. The stairs are very narrow and steep - I doubt that they would pass curent building code.
The owner gave us the lock-box code for the keys only a few HOURS before we arrived. We were worried all day that we might not be able to get in.
Probably our least-favorite VRBO of all time.

Well that is a bummer review. Sorry it wasn't your style. It has passed inspection which is on the fridge. It is listed a a vintage cabin. We love the charm of the place. It is listed as having one bathroom and it lists all bedrooms upstairs. It shows a picture of the steps. This has been my first bad review and it is a little sad because I take pride in this place. Sorry it wasn't right for you.
If youre looking for a cabin vibe close to the beach, this is your spot! The interior has a nostalgic cabin vibe, but very clean, modern and beautiful. All the furniture from the bed to the couches were extremely comfortable. The check-in process was nice and easy, we received all codes well before check-in and the host was extremely responsive which took out the typical stresses that can come with renting a place. It is a short 3 minute walk to Cape Kiwanda which is another big plus. My only complaint is we only stayed one night. We will definitely be back!

It was a pleasure hosting you. Hope you celebrate your two year anniversary at the house.
Carol was very responsive and a pleasure to deal with. The house was comfy and cozy! Our family enjoyed their stay and a quick walk to the Beach made it perfect!
Dan and I live in Bend, OR. We are both teachers who love the outdoors. We have three teenagers and two dogs that enjoy the beach as much as we do. We have been coming to Pacific City 20 years. We figured it was time to buy a house. We finally found a house a great house in the exact location that we wanted. I hope you enjoy Pacific City as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
We love this property. Location is the main reason but we also love the 70s vibe. The house has been well taken care of and is clean and tight. We have decided to leave the wood, funky wallpaper, and all the other features that give it character.
