Cozy and clean home, walking distance to the Cape Kiwanda area. The bedrooms are upstairs, and the bathroom is downstairs. May be an issue for someone with mobility challenges. Great stay.
Stayed at the house with a group of 8 women. Perfect amount of beds for our group and the house was comfy. The one bathroom was hard but it wasn’t a huge issue for our group. House was clean and the instructions were clear. The hot tub was fun and the walk to the beach was nice.
The house was lovely. Plenty of space to hangout and catch up. Close to the beach and had a good selection of games. The owner was very kind and helpful. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in pacific city.

Not worth the cost
Decor was the only good thing. TV didnt work, pellet stove was a nightmare. Called owners 2x and got nowhere. Bedrooms up very steep, narrow stairs...only bathroom down those hazardous stairs. Do not recommended!
We had a wonderful stay at this Beach House. The location to the Beach and Pelican was so great. Lots of fun stuff to do and we hope everyone has as much fun as we did.
My wife and I had a great time staying here for her birthday. It might not be what everyone is looking for but we absolutely enjoyed it. The decor was very 1970s cabin/rumpus room, which if it is your thing this place is amazing! Walking distance to Pelican brewing and the beach. Good place for a dog 🐕.
Everything was as advertised. Great home on a quiet dead end street. 2 minute walk to the beach, 5 minute walk to pelican brewery. We love coming to pacific city, and would rent this place again in a heartbeat. You can see cape Kiwanda from the massive bedroom windows upstairs and hear the waves crash all night. The owners were easy to communicate with and the check in/out process was simple. Beautiful home with a vintage beach vibe.

1970s beach house
First, the positives of the property. It was very clean. It was an easy walk to the beach. The kitchen was fully equipped. The washer and dryer were fine. The pelet stove works well for cold evenings.
The negatives. This property does not appear to have been updated at all since it was built in the 1970s. The family room was very dark and was illuminated only by three lamps. No ceiling lights. There is only one bathroom - I don't know how large groups work around that issue. There is a shower light, but we couldn't find the switch. All the beds are upstairs, and the only bathroom is downstairs. The stairs are very narrow and steep - I doubt that they would pass curent building code.
The owner gave us the lock-box code for the keys only a few HOURS before we arrived. We were worried all day that we might not be able to get in.
Probably our least-favorite VRBO of all time.

Great location! Vintage vibes.
Host responded almost immediately but could have communicated in a kinder fashion when trouble shooting the check in key location and non working bathroom lights.
A relaxing getaway and great launching point for adventures!
The minute you step into the house you just feel a sense of coming home! The rooms are comfy, there is room for everyone to lounge and Carol is just super nice to communicate with! The house is so centrally located too that it is just a perfect launching point - we parked when we got there and never had to move the car to whole weekend. We just left this morning and already wish we were back there :)
We all were so happy and satisfied when we saw the place in person! It was the perfect amount of space and a great location. We were able to walk to and from the beach, dinner, and the local market easily. There were even some furry friends that visited. Overall an amazing spot to stay at! Definitely will be booking again!
Carol's place was just perfect, with the feeling of settling into a family members beach cabin. No pretense, just comfort and wonderfully located to all the things that make Pacific City such a fantastic destination. Communication was also extraordinary and Carol did not hesitate to get in touch with us with any questions we had. Quite simply, once of the best vacation stays we have ever had. We will be back again and again!

Dan and I live in Bend, OR. We are both teachers who love the outdoors. We have three teenagers and two dogs that enjoy the beach as much as we do. We have been coming to Pacific City 20 years. We figured it was time to buy a house. We finally found a house a great house in the exact location that we wanted. I hope you enjoy Pacific City as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
We love this property. Location is the main reason but we also love the 70s vibe. The house has been well taken care of and is clean and tight. We have decided to leave the wood, funky wallpaper, and all the other features that give it character.
