You need only walk one block north to find sand, surf, and endless sunshine when you escape to Manning's Landing, a three-bedroom home near the shore in Kill Devil Hills.

This elevated home is close enough to the beach that you can stroll home at lunchtime, rinse off in the enclosed outdoor shower, and prepare a homemade meal in the well-appointed kitchen. There's ample space to dine at the island breakfast bar, the adjacent dining nook, and the shaded picnic table under the house. There you'll also find a storage area with a washer/dryer for your swimsuits and ample space to store your fishing rods, beach chairs, or bikes.

Back upstairs, you can bring a cold drink outside to the deck, kick back in the comfort of central air-conditioning, or gather in the living area for a card game or a movie on the smart TV. Two of the bedrooms have TVs as well.

Things to Know
There is no cable service, but all of the TVs support streaming (please bring your own account credentials)
The laundry room is in the storage area on the first level.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. Nice beach house

Was just there over 4th of July weekend,it’s great beach house, cozy, clean. Had everything(dishes, utensils) in the kitchen. Just no dishwasher. 1 1/2 baths which was perfect. Convenient to beach, stores. Had a nice underneath patio, to grill, or if rains, which was nice and shaded. Had a great bath house to shower the sand off and change was perfect.Although the light isn’t working in there. Didn’t locate the washer/dryer, must be in the key locked room? The check in and out was a breeze, Communication was nice. The only drawback were the steps (I’m older) to cookout , be kinda cool to have maybe a dumb waiter would be cool. I would prob. Stay there again :)

Very Outdated..

Not much really. The kitchen was kept up, but coffee maker didn't work properly. Furniture, beds, carpeting was VERY OLD and Unkept.. Previous Renters, or Cleaning Crew, left house smelling of Marijuana BAD.. and it stayed in the whole 6 days we were there... Very UNSATISFACTORY..!!

Quick Weekend Trip

We had a great time on this short notice weekend trip with out 1 year old. The house was great, location was a quiet neighborhood close to the beach access. Cute decor and very clean! This is an older house but it was very well taken care of and perfect for a quick trip for relaxation!

Great location

Close to the bypass and beach road- we were able to walk to Goombays, along with walking the dogs to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked and the living room was comfortable.

Beautiful spot!

We loved this place! Super clean and well taken care of. Beds were super comfy. Beach access was a couple minutes walk away. Outdoor shower and BBQ area downstairs was cool! We'd definitely come back!

This property needs work - STAT!

This property and the Vacasa managing group need some serious schooling on how to run a business. This property is not fit renting in its current condition. There is what appears to be evidence of black mold on the living room ceiling. The shower/tub has a lip where the wall meets the tub and there is a ton of mold that drips down when water hits it. Gross! The washing machine flooded the laundry room (which already reeked of mildew) because there was nowhere for the drain hose to connect to. The toilet in the secondary bathroom leaked onto the floor when flushed. The sheets on the primary queen bed Did not fit and popped off all night long. There are stains on the sofa in living room. The security lights on the side of the house near stairs do not work, which creates a trip hazard on the stairs at night. The only light in the car port area is motion censored and only stays on for approximately 10 seconds, which is another problem at night when a family is trying to unload out of our vehicle - not to mention, this is not safe. We checked in late Sunday night and I was reaching out to Vacasa by Monday with issues. I was told that someone would be in touch. That never happened. I finally requested some type of compensation for all of our troubles, and once again was told that someone would be in touch. We checked out Friday - it is Sunday. Still nothing. Do yourself a favor and just book through another company. AVOID THIS PROPERTY! AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Needs some work - STAT!

I really hate to leave negative reviews. It’s honestly just something I don’t normally do - but if I can save someone else from overpaying for a subpar (at best) property, I’ll do it. There is black mold on the ceiling in living room area, evidence of leaking ceiling in kitchen, an abundance of mold in shower/tub where the wall piece meets the tub. It’s not evident until you’re sitting on the toilet and then it’s at eye level. Gross! The sheets on the queen bed in the room without the thermostat do not fit. Every time I rolled over at night, the sheets popped off from the corner. Just annoying. The laundry room flooded when we washed a load of laundry because the drain hose wasn’t connected to anything. We had to figure out a way to get behind it to locate the hose and use a trash bag to tie it to the sink next to the washing machine. It smells strongly of mildew in that room and I’m certain that’s why. The toilet in the 1/2 bath leaked all over the floor due to multiple noted issues. There is no light in the carport area and a motion sensored light that is there turns off after 10 seconds. So basically, coming in after dark is creepy. The flood lights on the side of the house near the stairs do not turn on, so going up and down the stairs after dark is a trip hazard. All in all, I would’ve much rather used my money to stay at a nice hotel than this location. I reported everything along the way and was continuously told that someone would be in touch. No one ever did.

Very convenient location

Location, location, location. Easy access to both public beach and restaurants which made getting around very easy. Overall it’s a good house that was quite comfortable for our family and we appreciated that it was pet friendly. Be aware, though, that you are only a few houses down from the main road so expect some traffic and airplane noise. Unfortunately our dog wasn’t a fan. This home appears to have had minimal updates since built in the 90s (the rotary phone next to the toilet is only one of many giveaways). There were several different maintenance issues to address but all easily correctable. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
