Beach Cottage With Private Home Gym

Welcome to Kure Beach Escape. This may be the perfect place for you if:

• You want a PRIVATE gym that comes with Peloton memberships included
• You enjoy being close to the beach
• You want a house to yourself

We purchased this property since we wanted a place at the beach for our family to relax. We wanted to create a place at the beach that was one of a kind, so what better way than adding in a home gym. Now we want to share our one of a kind experience with others.

Our home has 1 bedroom with a queen bed. A large sofa for your rest and relaxation is in the living room.

The kitchen has an electric 2 burner stovetop. We do not have a traditional oven, but it has a Sharp `SuperSteam` combo microwave/convection oven. We have all your needed cooking utensils and plenty of dishes.

A bathroom with stand up shower equipped with a stocked soap/shampoo/conditioner dispenser for your convenience.

An all-in-one washer/dryer combo unit with free detergent is also available for your use.

We have 2 private driveway parking spots. Since we are located directly on `K` Avenue, you have an easy 5 minute walk straight to the pier. On the way, you will pass shops, food and coffee as you enjoy the beautiful area.

*Please make sure to indicate within the Airbnb platform if you plan on bringing pets. There is a one time $100 pet fee that ends up being split up over the number of nights that you are staying and it will reflect in the nightly rate. We allow up to 2 dogs*

We have a great patio with table and chairs to enjoy some outdoor space. We can`t stress enough that you`re close enough to the beach to walk and then get away from the busy area when you`re ready to relax.
Having a private home gym is the added benefit to your stay allowing continued fitness right near a beach!
Please be aware that there is no smoking at the property.

Although we do allow pets we do not allow pets on the furniture and we ask that you do not leave the pets at the house unattended. Also please clean up after your pet.

Gym Rules:

• No individuals under 18 years of age allowed unsupervised
• No pets in the gym
• No dropping weights from overhead
• Use weights and machines responsibly and within your abilities
• Do not remove any of the equipment from the gym, with an exception of the jump ropes
• Return items when you’re done using them
• Wipe down equipment after use
• Do not move the bikes or the dumbbell rack
• No food in the gym
• Proper attire should be worn while in the gym
• Make sure to consult your medical professional before working out and using any of the equipment

Perfect little cottage

The property had just enough of the necessities needed for a vacation. Wonderful restaurants were within walking distance as well as a Pier. If the two of us come back to the area we'd definitely stay there again.

We are traveling there for fishing, it is really close to the pier, like 3-4 mins walk. and it is also close to restaurants and grocery stores. The house is clean and cozy, we really enjoy it, and definitely will come back!!!!

Didn’t realize cottage was so close to main road so lots of noise in the area, ceiling fan in bedroom was noisy, kitchen utensils could use replacing and sliding closet doors in bedroom were falling off the tracking. But space was nice, grill works well and walk to beach very close!!

The location is walking distance to the beach as well as restaurants and the pier. It is also very cozy for a couple. Although the temps were in the low 40's for our stay we still enjoyed a short drive to Fort Fisher and the walk along the beach and then across the road at the fort along the Cape Fear. We also enjoyed the short walk to the beach by the pier. Jack Mackerel was the only restaurant open per the season, but we enjoyed the drive up to Kates in Carolina Beach for breakfast on Saturday. The furnishings were new and very comfortable.

The cottage was nice and suitable. Due to Hurricane Ian making land bringing a lot of rain and waves, we left a day early. Regret that rent is not refundable as we left due to unforeseeable weather.

Cool Beach Cottage

the cottage is cool with a quiet, modern heat / air system. The fridge is clean and cold, I might have left a box of sodas, oops! The beach pier is 1 block away! They have ice cream and popcorn and pool tables! The shower has a floating bottom and I guess that is so you can practice your dance moves? Ya still get clean! And the water doesn't spray out all over the floor! Good Times!

Sister Reunion/Vacation

Property was exactly as described with all the amenities; gym is well equipped! Linens, pillows, towels were very good quality and bed was so comfortable. Quiet, safe location; 5 minute walking distance to convenience store, restaurants, and beautiful Kure Beach. Kure Beach was perfect, not as crowded as other beaches nearby, very peaceful and enjoyable. Weather was great! Only suggestion we have is, it would be great to have a couple of beach chairs for guests. We did bring our own; and also left an old, weathered one behind for future guests to use. Communication with owner(s) was exceptional; quick response. We intend to come back and will definitely book with you again - love your cottage!!

Perfect for our family of 3

This cute little house was perfect for our family! We came with our two kids, 3 month old and 3 years old. It was perfect for us and came equipped with everything we needed, including one of those beach wagons and a beach tent for you to use and some games for rainy days or after the kids go to bed. The neighbors were outside when we arrived and they were so welcoming and sweet while at the same time kept to themselves. Location was perfect! I was a little worried about the walk to the beach but it was literally maybe a minute and half walk to the sand and easily did it with the two littles. The best part for me (the mom) was the little coffee shop on the ocean front! I can’t tell you how amazing it was to get up, walk to the beach and sip my iced latte! Within that short min walk you had a convenience store, ice cream shop, coffee shop, breakfast house, 3 restaurants, a pier with a gift shop and pool tables inside and golf cart rentals. Down the road is the aquarium I believe, we didn’t go but I did see signs. The beach was quiet and not even close to crowded. This is my new favorite vacation spot! I have zero complaints of this house as it was perfect. (Maybe replace the couch pillows though… they were dingy and I took them off immediately upon arrival.) Oh, and my husband loved the gym. 10/10 recommend for a small family or couple!

The beach house was in a great location and just a short five minute walk to the ocean. It was small but adequate for two people and two dogs. The rental was not very clean and the outdoor trash cans were so full we could barely take the trash out. The bathroom shower was moldy, and there was dirt and toilet splatter on the walls near the plunger and toilet bowl brush. The bathroom sink was so small that we would hit out head on the medicine cabinet while trying to brush our teeth. The on-site laundry was convenient, but the washer/dryer was not clean and needed to be cleaned out and wiped down before it could be used. The shower base was very soft and spongy, and the patch covering the hole was coming up. The floor in the bedroom at the foot of the bed was also very spongy. We did not use the gym or rent any of the additional equipment that was offered. It seems that general maintenance and cleanliness were lacking.

Nice location, about 2 blocks walking from the pier. If you are a fitness guru, the gym in the back looks off the chain. Restaurants/bars within walking distance. On the main avenue entering Kure Beach. Kitchen has mostly what is needed. No oven…but microwave, coffee pot, toaster, blender, pots and pans, utensils, plates, etc. The entry pad was unlit at the beginning, which led to a few incorrect entry codes initially. But overall, a good experience. We were there for the beach and ambiance..both boxes checked during our stay.

There were some pluses and minuses with our stay. The location was nice being about 3 blocks from the beach. The road in front at times was busy and loud since its a main thoroughfare to the small town of Kure Beach. The beach is gorgeous and not crowded. The cottage could use some TLC and a deep cleaning especially the bathroom and shower surround. The kitchen is adequate and had everything you need. Some lights are burnt out and need replacing. The bed is very comfortable. The exercise room was a bonus. It had all the free weights you needed and other equipment including peloton bikes and flat screen TV. The outside seating area was not very private and was overgrown with weeds and outside seats need new cushions. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. The cottage could be nicer if owners do some minor things as mentioned above.
