A City Cottage in the heart of Sturgeon Bay

With the vintage charm and updated comforts of home this cozy little carriage house renovated into a city cottage will surely hold a special place in your heart. Leave your car parked and enjoy a walk around the bridge and our three shopping disticts.

The courtyard is shared space between the retail spaces, yourself and then the other guests renting the City Apartment across the courtyard. Please be respectful of all parties looking to enjoy the space.

It is literally in the heart of Historic Downtown. You can walk to all the great shops, restaurant and watering holes in a matter of seconds. Or enjoy a stroll over the historic Steelbridge and enjoy more shops, eatery's or our local maritime museum!

Guests will have exclusive access to the City Cottage

Courtyard is shared between two rentals and our business owner.

For the safety and security of guests and the business owner, there is one exterior camera facing the courtyard.


This sweet little space has all the amenities of your own apartment/home just scaled down to fit into just shy of 400 square feet!

While the space is small and cozy and located in an alley, we have tried hard to create an oasis within the boundaries of our property line. You can relax in the courtyard and enjoy the night sky strung with colored lights and comfy chairs. Or take a stroll down to the waters edge (morning or night) just a few short blocks away.

Please note that the bedroom and bathroom are like tiny house living. The bedroom does fit a queen size bed and room to walk around on either side along with space for luggage and anything that needs to be hung. The bathroom has been referred to as a European sized bathroom. There is a full tiled shower with a seat to allow for more head room as the space is as unique as the old carriage house itself. Tall folks (6' +) just be aware, it may be more comfortable to sit and shower than stand.

You won't need public transit as everything is within walking distance, rain or shine!

Really nice place to stay in sturgeon bay. You want to bring your own coffee if you’re planing to have some there. Everything you need to make it is there, but not the coffee itself. Easy to get to, and a small but very nice space overall.

Overall a wonderful stay! The room had everything we needed, it was clean and fresh. The bed was very comfortable and the location and walkability to town couldn’t have been better… so close to everything! If Internet and television are important to you, plan accordingly. We experienced intermittent connectivity and TV was not smart. The outside space was also a bit too rustic for our liking. We would certainly stay again!

This place is super cute with an excellent location. It is very small but ok for 2 people. The portable a/c had a hard time getting it cooled below 79-80. It was very hot out and it is an upstairs unit so we understood. It did not come with hangers or ice trays so we had to purchase those which we thought was a bit strange, luckily we were close to a dollar store. The fridge is very small and due to the amount of food we brought couldn't keep it very cold. If you eat out more than we did you will be fine with it's size. The bed was very comfortable, that was amazing because usually rental beds aren't so great. Cute little deck we utilized for relaxing in the morning for coffee and evenings for wine. Host was super great at accommodating us when we had trouble getting in, the lock is tricky.

Downtown Sturgeon Bay vibe

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the city cottage near downtown Sturgeon Bay. It was nice to be able to walk to nearby coffee shops, retail stores and restaurants. Downtown Sturgeon Bay is underrated in Door county as a place to visit/enjoy. We would recommend this property to others.
