A-Frame-Away cozy secluded cabin minutes from 7Springs
Unique 3 bedroom 2 bath loft cabin tucked away in the mountains of Laurel Highlands PA. This property offers excellent nature views and attractions, especially the fall and winter foliage. Perfect for a family getaway or a skiers/boarders hangout.
Conveniently located 3.5 miles from 7Springs Resort and 6.5 miles from Hidden Valley Resort. Sits right in the heart of the Roaring Run Hillside hiking trails, great for
Walk-in and you have what we refer to as the marble room (floor is made from marble). This is a common living room with a large bar, couches, window benches, and family entertainment (board games, bumper pool/card table and cable TV) this room can be chilly in the winter we do have baseboard heating and a portable heater under the chimney, but it still tends to get cold in the winter months.
From the marble room, you go up three steps, through a set of wooden sliding doors into the kitchen. Kitchen has all new, updated appliances with an average sized kitchen table. Connected to the kitchen you have the first full bathroom (#1). Off the kitchen there is a set of spiral stairs that go up to the loft where there lies a king size bed. Morning views from the loft are hard to beat!
Through the kitchen is the family room which has an open space concept with sliding glass doors/windows that that look out into the woods that surround the house. The family room also has a fireplace with wood and fire starting essentials to allow for a nice and cozy cabin experience. This fireplace really acts as the main source of heat for the entire cabin.
Then going down stairs you have a common space with another full bathroom(#2) and two bedrooms. Each bedroom has a queen size bed.
On the main floor through the sliding glass doors is a deck with table seating.
The property has an outdoor fire pit right by the front entrance with a wood stack underneath the deck. This wood stack is also used to replace the firewood for the fireplace in the family room.

The cabin here was a comfortable and off the beaten path. I would recommend this location as it's priced fairly. Especially nice as it is pet friendly! The host is very responsive and flexible to work out further details such as extension of time. I'd definitely consider booking this location again.
Great base for skiing at Seven Springs or hiking. Cool retro vibe but doesn’t feel dated at all. A bit chilly if it’s really cold (~10 degrees) but fire up the awesome fireplace and throw on a blanket, and you’ll be fine. Would definitely stay again.

Not Clean
The place hadn’t been cleaned at all from the previous stay, prior to our arrival. The property manager was quick to reply when we reached out and let us know it would be taken care of while we were out. We left for a few hours and when we returned, it was still the same dirty bedding, just made. Nothing had been vacuumed or wiped down either. Again, property manager was very nice but overall it was disappointing and, quite frankly, gross

Hi Cory, thank you so much for your feedback. I really wish you would have communicated the cleanliness wasn’t up to par when you got back from dinner because we would have made it right.
We pride ourselves on giving our guests the best possible experience and keeping the cabin up to date with high cleanliness standards is a fundamental pillar we diligently work to achieve for each of our guests. In the two years we’ve been hosting our home and after dozens of thrilled experiences and 5 star reviews on Airbnb and VRBO this is the first time we’ve had gotten this kind of feedback. Again terribly sorry for the experience.

Disappointing and overpriced stay in retrospect.I realize this was probably an offseason rental for this property which likely thrives during ski season; and for this reason the overgrown and overall external state of the property is worth overlooking. However the inside of the property made this stay unenjoyable. It was extraordinarily musty, Dehumidifiers were on upon arrival which I could only assume were turned on earlier that day. It was evident that the property had not been aired out in some time. One of the dehumidifiers was already full and off downstairs which we dumped and restarted (this cut off in the middle of the night because it had filled up again that’s how musty and damp the property was, and these were not small dehumidifiers). The downstairs was dusty, cobwebbed and dressed in old carpet. The odor and general stagnant air was extremely unpleasant. My almost 70 year old mother slept on top of the bedsheets opting not to enter the sheets. In one room there was a “carpet” like decoration hanging above one of the beds, this particular decoration was dust covered, and the guests in that room woke up itchy eyed and sniffly attributing it to this.It is hard to provide such negative feedback for a stay at what is clearly someone’s family cabin. But unfortunately I can not avoid the truly disappointing aspects of this stay. We did not contact the property owner about our disappointment, so will assume they would have tried to make our stay more pleasurable.
Excellent place to stay for a night for a few. We used the outside fire pit to make smores. The space inside was perfect for our needs. It's a cabin in the woods. Perfect for what we wanted. Think of it as upgraded camping accommodations and you'll be happy with what you get.
If/when we come back, I would totally rent this place again.
The cabin and decor are beautiful. Lots of room for indoor activities. Fire Pit and wrap around porch for outdoor. Location is great for 7 Springs. highly recommended
