This property is truly a gem. My fiancée and I traveled with our 3 dogs who absolutely loved the fenced-in yard. The fencing is very secure, so we didn’t have to worry about our dogs escaping. The house was spotless. The sunroom was our favorite area of the house. Our stay was peaceful and picturesque. We watched a few sunsets by the water, which is just a short walk down the trail from the front yard. We loved it so much that we are already planning a return trip for next year. Our only constructive critiques include the need for a woodshed (there was chopped wood available for the fire pit, but it was all wet and wouldn’t burn - there were a ton of roadside firewood stands nearby though, so we were still able to get some wood & enjoy the fire pit), we wished the main bedroom had a queen bed (the queen bed is in the apartment area above the garage and not in the main house), and the mattresses weren’t too comfortable. None of these things would deter us from returning and are only being mentioned here as part of an honest review.
The best thing about our stay at Mariners reach was that it has a really nice large fenced in yard which our dog loved. The house itself was comfortable, although the property and house needs some love and repairs.-looks like it was well taken care of in the past with a beautiful garden. Most of what we needed was there, although we did not find any lobster crackers, no extra bags for the kitchen trashcan; only one extra roll of toilet paper in each of the bathrooms. we actually purchased some lobster crackers and pic forks, and also 4 placemats for the kitchen table from the dollar store - wasn’t very expensive, but they are nice touches to have. Washer and dryer worked well and were good to have there. Living room is comfortable - sunroom and deck were very nice to sit out on. There are window air conditioners for those hot days. The self-contained apartment above the garage was very nice. One caution: there is kind of a path down to the Mount Desert narrows tidal waters which at low tide was cool for our young adult children to explore, however, it’s very dangerous and steep- leaf-covered and kind of rocky. I would not advise it for older people or young children.
This was the perfect spot. Short walk to the water. The gardens are beautiful. It rained most of the time we were there but we made the best of it. I would highly recommend this rental.
Great views of the river. My 81 yr old father sat on the deck and enjoyed his coffee every morning. House was clean and had what we needed for our stay. Would def stay here again.
If you are looking for a pet friendly property with views this is for you. The house was very clean and the kitchen is very well stocked. Had a little issue with the batteries being dead on the code lock but the management company was very responsive and told us how to get in!!! I would definitely rent again!
Loved how close to the water with easy access to the shore. Inside was very clean and comfortable. Wish more care was taken to the exterior and landscaping.
Loved the peaceful area with no neighbors. Air conditioning worked well to keep us cool

Clean, peacefully, 30 mins from acadia National park
The kids went straight to the water and before we even checked out the house, plans were being made for our next vacation here and renting this property. Waterfront property, fire pit, beautiful garden, completely fenced in yard for the pups, separate sleeping quarters above the garage for those who want to retreat from the kiddos, we had absolutely nothing but great things to say about this property. We will be back!
This is a very nice location and met all our needs. Being pet friendly, this rental had some odors until we aired out the building. Expected nature and insects. Very nice second suite for privacy. Thoughtful with lawn chairs and toiletries.
Great location for visiting Schoodic Point and Bar Harbor.
Coastal Main Vacations was absolutely terrific with communicating every step of the way. Would highly recommend using them in the future. Having the house stocked with essentials made arriving and staying an absolute pleasure.
Loved staying here, lots of space and privacy, well stocked. Equidistant from both parts of Acadia so we got to enjoy both. Responsive owner. Very clean.
House setup is strange, needs some updating. Location was great, well stocked, beautiful property, lots of space. Major downside was that the house smelled like urine. Hosts were easy to communicate with.
