About this property
Oceanfront home on the Maine coast minutes from Schoodic portion of Acadia NP.
Three story cottage on a quiet, serene lot overlooking Prospect Harbor with views of Corea. Walk down the short steps to the breathtaking ocean scene. This is classic Maine; rugged coastline and crashing surf. Listen to and watch the lobster fishermen and women as they haul their traps getting ready to sell you the freshest Maine lobster around. The house was built in 2004 by a local carpenter who happens to be on your house management team! This house is clean, has a fully stocked kitchen, all linens, is well kept and ready for your enjoyment. Why battle the crowds on Mount Desert Island when you can stay on the Schoodic Peninsula and do day trips to Bar Harbor? Besides, we have the lovely Schoodic section of Acadia with gorgeous, moss lined hiking and wide biking trails. You are likely to see porpoises, seals, and all manner of sea birds. A moose? Perhaps. Deer? Very likely. Foxes, rabbits, coyotes and regularly...bald eagles.

Everything was great. The stairs for the loft are off the master bedroom so keep in mind the kids will be able to come in and out through there. The views are great. There’s a swimming beach not far away. Great place to see Acadia from. Zero problems with this property.

Thank you for your review! Glad you had a nice time.
This property is an hour drive from the more popular area of Acadia. It’s in a beautiful area and right on the ocean- very nice. Very clean and pretty well stocked - a little short on towels for 5 people. Alison was wonderful to work with. Very friendly and paid attention to the details which is rare these days so we really appreciated that!
The property is as listed in the property description. The area is peaceful and the view of the golf/ocean is excellent. The living area was spacious for 4 of us. . The beds on the 3 rd floor are a nice addition but accessing them through the master could be tricky with a bigger group. Would make a good place for kids to stay. We had a great time putting a puzzle during our stay There are places to get food nearby and markets to buy necessities. Bigger grocery trips to Ellsworth is about a 45 min drive or there is a grocery store in Bar harbor if already making a trip there.

Thanks! I always tell people about the third floor access when they inquire as it doesn’t work for everyone. But kids do love it! Glad you enjoyed your stay. ~ Alison
House was just as described. Wonderfully located in a beautiful quiet neighborhood with the bay just steps away. Host was very quick in any questions we had. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
The location was great, very private and the view was awesome. The sunrises were spectacular and the house accommodated us all nicely. Bar Harbor is just a ferry ride away or you can drive. Acadia NP is a must see. We drove to Bangor and it was a very nice drive.
Love this place! It was so peaceful and perfect for our family of 6. They were very helpful with any questions we had throughout the entire process. Waking up to the sound of the waves and the sunrise every morning was amazing.
Beautiful home located on the water. Everything we needed for our stay was there. Kids loved tide pooling on the rocky beach. Enjoyed evenings around the fire pit with Smores. Great family place. Restaurants are limited but what was there was quite good.
This fully equipped house was better than promised! It was clean and beautiful and so comfortable. We loved staying here and the view was amazing!! It was easy to get to everywhere we needed to go from here and Alison was always easy to reach and pleasant. If I could give this a rating higher than 5 stars I certainly would! What an awesome vacation home!
The house is beautiful! The pictures do not do it justice. Alison was wonderful to work with. We loved the area and hope to come back soon. We would definitely stay again.
The property was absolutely fantastic. Exactly as described with a perfect view and everything you need for a getaway. The host are as fantastic as the house and full of all kinds of info and tips about the area.
The Schoodic Oeninsula is a hidden gem and this house was perfect! I would totally stay again. Hosts were responsive and everything you could need was provided.

Thanks for staying at Lobster Lodge Susan! We are so glad you had a nice stay. I think the pogies were running while you were here which might be the schools of fish you were seeing. We say them out at schoodic as well.

Alison and Scott were very accommodating to everything we needed. They addressed any questions or concerns we had quickly. They also assisted with ideas for everything we wanted to do in Maine. The location of the home was perfect for exploring Northern Maine, Acadia, Schoodic peninsula, Jasper Beach, Sandy River Beach, Stonington, Belfast, Deer Isle, Nervous Nellies James and Jellies. We found a few wonderful breweries, pubs, and shopping in Ellsworth. We did a moose tour in Greenville. Also found the B52 crash site memorial in Greenville. The home had amazing views of the ocean. Many windows to open so we could smell the ocean, hear the waves crashing on the rocks, hear the ringing bell of the buoy, many birds, seals, and even a dolphin. Sun rinse and sun sets were amazing. Because there are open views of the sky we were able to see many shooting stars as we spent our evenings at the fire. The gas grill was in good shape and full of propane for our use. We found the propane cooker in the garage so we were able to cook the lobster outside. Homemade ice cream in town is very good. Thankfully for our waistline, we visited this on our last day. The home was comfortable and roomy for the 7 adults we had on our trip. It was a welcome place to return to after a day of exploring Maine. We cant thank Alison and Scott enough for helping us make our trip special and for accommodating all our request. It was hard to leave because they made us feel like Family.

Thank you so much! We are so glad you had such a fun time in Maine. You really packed a lot in! Hope to see you back again sometime.
Three couples traveled to Maine for vacation and this home couldn't be any nicer. Very clean home with plenty of room for all of us, very well stocked with everything you could possibly need for your stay, and a stunning location right on the water.
This is the place to be...plenty of privacy and ample space. Nine of us adults stayed very comfortably, enjoyed the property, the property manager, and the surrounding area. Loved it and highly recommend it!

Why they chose this property
This property is not far from stores that stock your basic needs but secluded enough to be a real hideaway. It is a fantastic home base for exploring or the perfect place for some serious down time. Kick those feet up and watch the boats go by as you listen to the gulls and the rolling or crashing waves.
What makes this property unique
Stunning views. Privately located but close enough to local restaurants, gas station, grocery stores. Right down the street from "The Pickled Wrinkle," the ever popular local pub where you will find locals and tourists mingling and dancing! This is a spacious house in good condition and the kitchen has all the equipment you need to prepare your own meals. With a fire pit, picnic table, and patio chairs, gathering together at the end of a day of exploration is relaxing. And don't forget to look up!! Our night sky is amazing and we often see the milky way on clear nights.
