The Space:
Snow-dusted trees and crisp mountain air greet you as you turn onto the private road that leads to Forest Haven. Tall east‑facing windows let soft winter light spill across the loft‑style living area, while the scent of pine follows you onto the spacious deck. After a day of exploring the trails, steam rises from the private hot tub and the fire pit glows, inviting you to unwind under a sky full of stars.
Sleeping arrangements
Two bedrooms each hold a queen bed, dressed with fresh linens, extra pillows and blankets for cooler evenings. The layout comfortably sleeps four guests.
Kitchen & dining
A full kitchen is equipped for everyday cooking, from quiet breakfasts to relaxed dinners. A BBQ grill sits on the deck for casual meals outdoors, and the open plan connects the kitchen to the living area for easy conversation.
Outdoor living
Step onto the deck to enjoy the forest setting, fire pit, and private hot tub that warm you after a hike. A collection of yard games offers fun for kids and adults alike. The backyard is open and not fully fenced, so keep an eye on pets. Free parking is available on the premises.
Work & comfort
A dedicated workspace in a separate room provides privacy for those who need to mix work with rest. Heating keeps the cabin cozy in colder months, and window AC is ready for warmer days. Fast WiFi and a TV with Roku let you stream or stay connected.
Pet policy
The cabin is pet‑friendly for dogs, and families often bring their children and dog along. Cats are not allowed due to allergies.
Neighborhood
Forest Haven sits in Gerrardstown, a short drive from Berkeley Springs’s shops and restaurants, Harpers Ferry’s river rafting and historic sites, and Winchester’s dining, breweries and wineries. Numerous hiking trails surround the property, offering year‑round outdoor adventure.
Perfect for
Couples seeking a quiet retreat, families looking to unplug together, or friends wanting a relaxed mountain base with space to unwind.
Note
An indoor fireplace is present but decorative only, as it is currently broken. The cleaning team sweeps the deck, stairs and walkways before each arrival, though natural leaves, pollen or similar may still be visible, especially in certain seasons.
