The Schoolhouse was so amazing! It was really like stepping back in time, but with modern amenities. There was plenty of room for our family of 6. The location is perfect. You’re in a short driving distance to plenty of stores, historical sites, rivers, small towns, and more. The host is very nice and quick to respond to your needs.

We were very happy with our stay at the schoolhouse. Loved all the special touches. The maps, toys, abacus reminding us of our early grade school experiences. Very clever “decorating”. We will definitely be back. We are so glad to have found such a Find!

We're so happy to hear you loved the special schoolhouse touches, from the maps to the abacus and all the little nods to those early grade school days. It truly is a fun and unique space, and we love hearing when guests appreciate the details as much as we enjoyed adding them. Thank you for sharing such a kind review, it means a lot to us.
We visit Harpers Ferry every year in order to visit Family, and this was definitely an upgrade from staying at the local hotels. For our family of five, it gave us an extra bed, a larger bathroom, a small kitchen and a washer and dryer. The property was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and we had everything we needed. As an extra luxury, detergent for the towels would have been nice, but we bought some while we were out. Truly, there were extra amenities at the home such as spices, spray oil, and an abundance of coffee pods, so this would just have been a luxury, but I thought I would mention it.

Thank you for sharing such a detailed review! We're so glad the schoolhouse gave your family the space and comfort you needed for your annual trip to Harpers Ferry, like the comfortable beds, the kitchen and laundry setup. Great to know the spices, oil, and coffee pods added to your stay, and we appreciate you mentioning the laundry detergent - it has been replenished.

Thank you for your 5 star review. Our family works hard to make sure our guests have the best experience. There is so much history. We’re glad you were able to get to Harper’s ferry! Come back soon!
This was an awesome place to stay while we explored the Harper’s Ferry area for a few days. The schoolhouse had everything we needed and we loved all the small finishing touches. Highly recommend!
The stay was very nice. The school house was clean and well stocked. The community was quiet and close to both nearby national parks which was the reason for our visit. It was a perfect place to retire after a long day of history lessons and great food from the local taverns to a very comfortable bed! We would certainly stay there again.
Interesting and enjoyable to stay in a former schoolhouse. went with my 21-year-old daughter and felt comfortable using two beds in the one room. Quiet town, but accessible to many towns in the area.
Kearneysville is ideally located to take in Gettysburg, Martinsburg, Harpers Ferry, CharlesTown, & Sharpsburg / Antietam Battlefield . We were to visit all during our 5-day stay . After walking all day, each day, we were rewarded at end of each one to come back to this GREAT Historic Schoolhouse to “take the load off our feet” & RELAX !

Beautifully unique and “very cool” schoolhouse that was roomy, neat & clean! So many historical decorations that made it fun to take it all in! Will definitely return!
