We so much appreciate our return guests, and your group is one of the favorites. Look forward to seeing you again.
Our family of four had the best time! The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We enjoyed morning coffee on the porch, fishing and exploring the river and late dinners. Our evenings were spent doing puzzles, playing cards or a little friendly ping pong or pool before settling into bed (the beds were super comfortable). We explored Roaring Run Trail and my son loved mountain biking at Douthat State Park. Even had some ice cream in Buchanon on our way home. The owners were responsive and communication was easy and timely. We will be back!

We love it when our guests get to experience Douthat State Park - it is a little treasure nearby. When we don't have guests, I sneak to the porch for morning coffee too!
We had a wonderful, peaceful stay at the cabin and look forward to planning another getaway there in the near future. Communications with the host were excellent and we felt very welcome. We loved the setting, views, comfy beds and furniture, roomy interior, and book collection. For our family of train/bird/astronomy nerds, we couldn’t have picked a better spot!

River’s Bend cottage is a delightful place to stay whether to rock on the porch, grill dinner outside, or hike or raft along the Upper James River. Our host was easily available to reach and was responsive to our questions and requests.
