Beautiful Gaffaro Apartment in Dorsoduro with Canal View

This charming second-floor apartment was completely restored and refurbished in 2004. Features Italian marble floors, hand-cut mosaic detail in the bathroom, Venetian chandeliers.

Master bedroom with full-size double bed, parquet flooring, fitted wardrobe, Venetian chandelier. Sofa bed in living room pulls out to double bed.
The kitchen is fully fitted and is divided from the living room by a worktop and breakfast bar. Living room has sofa and dining table for 6.
It has air conditioning, floor heating and internet wi-fi.

Our apartment is located in the university district and just two bridges from Campo Santa Margherita which is noted on Public Places ''60 of the Worlds Greatest Places'' list and it is the largest square in Venice and a popular hangout for Venetians young and not so young. It has a great choice of restaurants and cafes and a vegetable and fish market. You can sit in the sun and enjoy a coffee or a cocktail and watch the world go by.


The Gaffaro apartment (named after the bridge it overlooks) is conveniently located for your arrival and departure as it is a short walk from the train station and the bus station at Piazzale Roma. You can walk to Rialto in 15 minutes and get to St. Mark's square in 20 minutes by taking the vaporetto at San Toma'.

The kitchen had everything we needed - gas stove and oven worked well ( though took us a little while to understand the dials on the oven so simple instruction sheet would help). Full size dishwasher meant we could minimise washing up and plenty of crockery etc. Sofa bed was comfortable enough and the apartment was warm. Location was great for vaporetti and for walking to sights

We could not have been happier staying in Sebastiono’s apartment. The kitchen had everything we needed and we cooked a few dinners there. The bed was very comfortable, as is the couch in the living room area. The view of the canals is wonderful from the dining table. We walked to most places but could also easily hop on the vaporetto when we wanted to go further or just enjoy the Grand Canal.

Beautiful Gaffaro Apartment in Dorsoduro with Canal View is the perfect short term rental. Great location, quite, safe, clean, comfortable, reasonable distance to the train and water bus. Sebastiano is an awesome host that took the time to answer all our questions about where to eat, shop and how to navigate the water bus. We definitely would stay here again.

Sebastiano was a very welcoming, responsive, and helpful host. We loved opening the windows every day and looking onto the canals. The location is quieter than the hustle and bustle of the Grand Canal and we enjoyed it more. We felt safe and we enjoyed coming back to it each day. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again.

Sebastino is an incredible host! The apartment is stunning and in a very wonderful location. Great restaurants, close to vaparetto stations. Even a custom leather worker below where i was able to get a one of a kind purse! One of the best hosts we have ever had!

The apartment is just as you see it in the pics. A wonderful one bedroom with an incredible view, in a lovely neighborhood in Venice. Even better, it’s only a five minute walk to the P. De Roma vaparetto, where you can get all the water buses to visit Venice. Sebastiano is a great host. He met us at the apartment (actually found us, as we were a bit lost), and spent time pointing out everything in the apartment and recommending places to visit and eat. This is a 10 out of 10!

The host, Sebastiano, met us at the apartment to welcome and familiarize us with both the apartment and the area giving us great advice on what to see and how to get there! Location is excellent. Very short walk from bus/train/taxi. Would definitely book again on subsequent trips!

Superb Family Vacation to Venice

The residence is very large and superbly located adjacent to 2 converging canals. Being on the 3rd floor you have breathtaking views and can truly embrace "life" in Vencie. Sebastiano provided fantastic information about traveling and things to do in Venice. Full size kitchen so you can cook if you so desire. Conventiently located from the train station it's about a 9 minute walk. We have memories of a lifetime Highly recommend!

This is a very nice spacious apartment with beautiful views of the canals. Close to bus, train station, many good restaurants, and stores. Sebastiano was an amazing host that communicated well and gave great recommendations on how to navigate Venice. Major plus was washer and drying rack, central air, and great views.

Great apartment with beautiful view of canal. A short 10 minute walk from the train station, so you can avoid the craziness of the water bus with luggage. Sebastian met us as we arrived at the apartment. He was kind enough to give us some travel tips. The apartment has everything you need. We were able to wash our clothes after a week of traveling. The km0 restaurant after the bridge was very good. We would stay there again.

Farewell to Venice

Apartamento Gafaro was the ideal spot for my final visit and my friends’introduction to many of the delights. She will certainly return.We loved the views to the canals from the 3 living room and kitchen windows, watching the constant pedestrian and water activities. Being so close to Piazzoli Roma made transport easy to wherever.

Me and my wife lived in this apartment untill 2008, so we made it as we liked and everything has been recently renovated. It is in a central and residential area of Venice, Dorsoduro, where you can find all the shops for your needs, from the organic products to the baker, butcher, pharmacy, etc...

What makes this property unique

The view! from the three windows in the living room/kitchen you can enjoy the view of three canals passing by the apartment with all sorts of boats, private/gondolas with singer/working boats. You don't even need to go out, just by a bottle of cool Prosecco and enjoy Venice from you holiday home!
