The property & location were great. Had a super time dock & kayak fishing. The house was clean & laid out for total relaxation when we took time to relax. Owners were very helpful with our needs. I strongly recommend this place & hope to come back soon.
My family and I had a wonderful stay. We come to the bay houses a few times a year but will definitely plan on booking our stay here again. Kids enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boards that are provided by the host. Green lights made it a great evening of fishing. Highly recommend staying here.
We really appreciated having the kayaks and paddleboards available to use in the canal. And the beach was just a short drive away with great access! Awesome place.
Master bathroom tub wouldnt fill up, so I didnt get to enjoy a jacuzzi soak like i had hoped. But overall the house was in good working condition and cery clean. Really enjoyed our stay with 3 families and kids.

So glad you and all the families had a great time! We love all the extra amenities. And the fishing is so much fun with everyone! We love the Jacuzzi tub. It is ENORMOUS! That being said, It takes about 15 to 20 minutes to fill up. So sorry you didn’t have time to fill it on your stay! Thanks for your feedback! We appreciate it!
I WOULD LIKE THAT IN THE FUTURE WE HAD ACCESS TO THE OUTSIDE BAR AND THAT THE MASTER'S BED WAS A LITTLE BIGGER
AND THE MASTER'S BATHROOM ALSO HAD A SHOWER
Before arriving I had reached out to the owner directly to confirm the property was in great condition due to hurricane beryl that had recently hit Galveston on July 8th. I was reassured the property was in perfect condition, never flooded or had any water damage.
To my surprise on arrival, during the middle of the night, when I opened the door to the property I was hit with an overwhelming smell of mold. There were humidifiers running with instructions taped to the humidifiers to not turn off or move the humidifiers. Due to my time of arrival I had no choice but to try and make it work with my family for the night. We sprayed Lysol and it did not phase the smell of mold. The property looked very clean however the smell was overwhelming to the point of causing headaches, coughing and nausea. After being there less than 5 hours I packed up my family and we left. I reached out to the owner directly and he was very defensive, called me a liar and said he wasn’t giving me back any money and then he offered to give me back 2 nights which did not account for the additional fees charged by vrbo; he should have done the right thing and refunded the entire amount due to his property not being held to normal living standards. Vrbo was not helpful as the owner had offered to correct the issue and they required pictures but it is impossible to take pictures of a smell of mold/mildew without spending time or tearing out walls to locate the problem. The mold/mildew was not an issue that

This guy had to be sent constant reminders to pay his split up payments. He then proceeded to hunt for any opportunity to cancel after the cancellation date. I understand the economy is tough now, but trying to manipulate a situation is pretty sketchy. If you can’t afford to go on vacation just don’t book it.
1) the house did not have any water damage or mold. I was at the house on the morning they checked in. That is a lie.
2) I was defensive due to his threats of leaving a bad review and it impacting our income.
3) I refunded him for everything except the night he stayed and the cleaning fee. I can’t control vrbo and their policies any more than I can control this guy lying on a review. The house has some surfaces wiped with mrs myers basil cleaner. Perhaps I should have used something more familiar to him like fabuloso.
If there is anything that almost killed this fella it would be his guilty conscience for dishonesty.
Immaculately clean and listing is as advertised. Comfy beds, nice views and including partial views of bay even though it is on the canal. Covered porch is very nice this time of the year!
