Renter Beware..."The cabin is in the mountains and the roads are winding and hilly. The driveway Is also steep. We suggest having 4WD or AWD. If you do not have one of those please park at the top of the driveway." This should be included WHEN YOU BOOK, not when you are ready to actually travel and check in. The roads to the rental are typical of side roads in Gatlinburg, but to an extreme level. There are no lines on the roads on either side or in the center, and they are extremely steep and extremely curved headed to the rental. I could not see over the dashboard of my truck at some of the turns and at the top of the "driveway." That needs to be made clear. There is no view at all, and there is limited use of any outdoor space, of which there are 2 decks, but there are no warnings of black bear activity. Anywhere. I asked about a BBQ grill, to which the owner explained they had to remove it, with no explanation. I brought my own, and was promptly visited by a 400 pound black bear that came onto the porch to knock over the grill. My son went out at another time, to be greeted by a black bear cub. Love nature, but some heads up would be a good idea. The washer did not work, and although there was a response from the owner, the "handyman" could not fix it during our stay so we had no washer, and no credit given. Apparently the previous renter did not say something was not working, but that became our problem. In addition the shower drain was clogged with hair...
