About this property
100 Yr. Old Chicago Brick Craftsman with yard, Near Beach and Loyola!
Welcome to this thoughtfully preserved 110 year old, original Chicago brick home, just 3 blocks from the Lake Michigan shoreline.
Lots of charm and character in this storied home with a serene backyard oasis in the heart of the city! While this historical gem is the perfect private getaway for you & loved ones, its location makes it easy for you to get around.
You are: 1 Block to Sushi, Thai, Coffee, Jamaican, El Train, Loyola, Live Music 15 min to Wrigley 18 min to Michigan Ave/Downtown
Every corner of this property has been lovingly cared for to breathe new life into this storied Chicago home while still preserving its history and charm. This craftsman style home features plaster walls, an original nickel mirror on closet door, and a mix of original and period replicated hardware throughout.
From the quiet, tree-line street you'll meet a grand, 2 story red brick home with a welcoming wreath on its glass and oak door.
Take a journey back in time as you step onto vintage tile floors and head up the ornate wooden stairs under the art deco light fixtures to your second floor abode.
Inside, the large foyer opens to the living room which has ample seating. Relax by watching a movie (Apple TV & Netflix provided) or, in the adjoining sun room, enjoy a beverage and peaceful views of the neighborhood.
Down the hall, the master bedroom is on the left with two additional bedrooms on the right. Each bedroom has plenty of closet space and a ceiling fan for those that enjoy a little breeze.
The hall opens to a grand dining room with expandable table that seats up to 10 so this room can comfortably accommodate just two for a romantic dinner or host a large group for a bustling family meal.
Chicago is known for world class restaurants, but sometimes we all need a nice home-cooked meal, right? That's why our kitchen is fully stocked with all the spices & essentials you'll need to prepare a delicious meal of your own, if you choose to. The kitchen also features a pass-through to the dining room with generous bar seating so everyone can interact while meals are prepared.
The dining room also opens to a fun sun room with a wall of windows overlooking the trees in the lovely backyard. I recommend sipping a cup of tea and spinning a record while you watch the birds. The comfy couch opens to a full-size pull-out sofa bed.
The house is spacious with lots of little areas for family or friends to spend time together or do their own thing. While the home is equipped to host 8 people, we think the perfect group size is 5-6. We're happy to host all 8, but keep in mind it will be a little cozier.
*Please inquire if you have a larger group as we have options to expand for up to 16 guests!

This was the perfect place for our alumni trip to Loyola. Kitchen was well appointed, everything was clean and comfortable. A wonderful space for visiting with friends. We appreciated the information and communication from the host, the location, and the overall feel of the place. Highly recommend.
We loved this bright, cheerful apartment. It had everything we needed and felt very homey. The street is quiet and pleasant, and it's easy to walk to plenty of places, including Loyola U.
My wife and I loved this apartment. Very clean, comfortable beds and furniture and well equipped kitchen. Only 1 block from “L” station for easy trips to Wrigley Field or downtown.Great communication with host. Would highly recommend.
Great location. We were there to visit Loyola and this place was perfect. Walking distance to campus and a great way to get to know the area. The train is right around the corner so easy access to Chicago. It was clean with plenty of space for everyone and it had everything we needed. Check the in was a breeze and our host was communicative and helpful.
This place was beyond comfortable and in the perfect location for us (our daughter lives in Roger’s park in a tiny apartment). We had everything we needed and Christi was very responsive any time we had a question. Grateful to have found this place and we hope to stay there again .
Perfect accommodations for a family - wonderful host to work with
I don't often write reviews - but felt compelled to in this case. This property was perfect for our family of 4 making a long weekend trip to Chicago. Our host was beyond easy to work with and was incredibly helpful with any questions we had. 10/10 - highly recommend!
We loved this place! It was perfect for 6 of us (2 couples and 2 kids). It was close to a Red Line station so we could easily walk to catch a train to the center of Chicago. Parking can be a bit challenging at times but the neighborhood was great. We would definitely stay here again!
Great location, 4 minute walk from the red line station. The place was easy enough to find, with several beds/rooms and some couches. Looked to be a good kitchen but we didn’t use it much. Only downside was there were some ants in the bathroom but it wasn’t that bad. Overall a great place to stay!

Oh no, I’m so sorry, Blake! Thanks for letting me know. I’ll have Orkin come out immediately to take care of this!
This was the perfect place while we were in town for a family event. The apartment was so welcoming! The kids felt right at home and loved exploring every inch, and even put on a dance party using the instruments that were there (but not too loud-I promise!). There was enough room for their grandmother to stay as well, and everyone had plenty of space to relax. The communication was excellent as well! We appreciated all the hospitality!
We loved our stay here! The neighborhood is calm, peaceful and shady with leafy mature trees lining the streets. Stores and restaurants are within walking distance. The apartment was very comfortable and nicely appointed. We couldn't ask for anything more to make us feel at home.
We stayed here for a short weekend. Our daughter attends Loyola, but we came into town for the half-marathon that she was running in that weekend. The apartment was one block off of Sheridan and was close to many restaurants and shops. Thanks for an amazing weekend!
