About this property
The Vineyard Vista - wildflowers, fire pit, near state parks, wineries, lakes
The Vineyard Vista is a place for you to relax and recharge, sitting on 4 acres of land with plenty of space to spread out. While there's much for you to do onsite, you'll also have easy access to all the Texas Hill Country has to offer, including state parks, wineries, hiking, lake activities (1/4 mile to lake LBJ, skiing, fishing), golf, historic towns, wildflowers, local breweries, restaurants, and lots of wildlife (year round and migrating birds, deer).
Outdoor spaces at The Vineyard Vista are where we really shine. Enjoy stunning views of the Uplift Vineyard while grilling your dinner or dining in the fenced courtyard. Sip your morning coffee in a rocking chair on the front porch, watching visiting deer and a large variety of birds in the nearby woods. Watch the sunset from the picnic table under our majestic pecan tree in the evening, followed a cozy gathering around the firepit under dark, starry skies.
Indoor spaces at The Vineyard Vista are pretty amazing, too. The den is a great place to relax, overlooking the courtyard and vineyard. The large screen tv is connected to wifi, allowing you to stream shows using your own streaming subscriptions. The coffee table is stocked with games and puzzles for spending time with family and friends. Enjoy all of this with a cozy backdrop from the fireplace set up with flameless candles.
Open to the den, the kitchen is stocked with dishes, utensils, glassware, serving dishes, and cookware, making it easy to cook your meals here. Need a blender? A slow cooker? A wine opener? We've got them! If there's anything you're wondering if we have, just ask! There's also plenty of seating for your meals - 2 at the kitchen counter, 3 in the breakfast area, and 8 at the dining table.
The 3 bedrooms all have queen beds with plush mattresses (new in 2022), cozy bedding, and extra pillows. You'll have plenty of room to unpack with a dresser and a closet in each room. 2 of the bedrooms have private bathrooms, and the 3rd has a bathroom just outside the bedroom door. There is a "bonus room" upstairs with 2 twin beds and another large screen tv.
The Vineyard Vista is a private space - you'll have access to the whole house except for a small locked closet containing housekeeping supplies.
It's important to note that the vineyard we enjoy looking at is not our property and you will not be able to go into it. Please do not cross any of the fences surrounding our property.
The areas near the house and inside our driveway are mostly clear of "sticker burrs". If you venture into the meadows behind the barn and outside the driveway, expect to have burrs on the bottoms of your shoes. You might consider bringing some old shoes if you want to spend time in these areas. ** If you do go into these areas, please remove your shoes when you come into the house. Burrs will come off on the carpets and you will find them later with your bare feet. Ouch! **
The barn is used for storage and stays locked. Feel free to park under the covered parking next to the barn if you like.
You can also park in the garage, or anywhere on our gravel road/driveway. Please do not take vehicles off of the road/driveway at any time as they will damage our septic system and sprinklers.
Bring your boat or jet skis! You'll have access to the neighborhood boat ramp and there's plenty of room to park your trailer on our property.
With great places to relax and read a book, lots of onsite activities, and the well-stocked kitchen, you might not want to leave once you get here!
But if you’re in the mood to explore, The Vineyard Vista serves as the perfect home base for outings to nearby activities, including:

About the host
Hosted by Suzanne Poll
My family and I have spent a lot of time in the Texas Hill Country. We enjoy hiking, camping, lake activities, the local wineries, Spring wildflowers, and just hanging out enjoying down time. Down time favorites usually include cooking, reading, and entertaining friends. We love to share our home with other people who enjoy the local area.
The Vineyard Vista is co-hosted by 2 couples. Suzanne & Philip, Chris & Bob.
