About this property

Beach House in waterfront gated community w/ salt water pool

Owners love and use the house personally, but since they can't visit every week they share their slice of coastal Delaware with guests.

Angola by the Bay is an amenity rich neighborhood; kayak launch, fishing and crabbing piers, walking trails, salt water pool (open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend), playground, basketball, bocce, tennis/pickle ball courts. The walking trails can be accessed right from the private backyard; walk to the marina in less than 10 minutes or walk to the pool / playground / sports courts in under 2 minutes.

This is a single level home, but does have three exterior steps to the entry. When you enter the home you will be welcomed to a large open living space with blue vaulted ceilings. The small kitchen with stainless steel appliances is stocked with essentials and is adjacent to the dining space and main living room with large sectional and 55" TV. At the back of the house is an additional seating area, the master bedroom with a king canopy bed and master bathroom with shower. The front of the house has a full bathroom with bathtub and shower combo, laundry closet, and two bedrooms. One bedroom has a king bed, while the other has two sets of bunk beds for a total of 4 twin beds. The backyard has a fire pit and you will have access to the storage box of outdoor games (bocce set, horseshoes, basketballs, etc).

Please bring your own beach and bath towels. Bed linens are available for an additional fee of $105. This optional fee will include sheets, pillowcases, and a blanket for each bed and the beds will be made up for your arrival. Please include a note if you would like to add this to your stay. Up to two well behaved dogs welcome for an additional $100 pet fee per stay.

There are cameras on both the front exterior door and back exterior door of the house for security. There are no interior cameras.

We enjoyed our stay. The home was beautiful and clean. We were able to enjoy all our favorite activities of biking, hiking, crabbing and kayaking and visiting all the nearby beaches and family entertainment venues. To top it all off our dog was able to join us!

Comfortable Beach House for Toddlers and Adults

Nice property in gated community. Lovely adult and kids' pool which was a very short distance from house. House was quite adequate for 3 adults and 2 toddlers. Check-in process was very simple and communication with property manager was excellent responding quickly to any questions or problems. We had a fun 4 nights at Angola by the Bay.

Relaxing weekend

We had a wonderful stay here. The house was exactly as described. Its nice and quiet, clean, cozy, and the house had everything we needed. Access to the pool was great and our 4 yr old loved that and the chest full of toys! Rehoboth beach is about 20-30 min depending on traffic but it's an easy drive and there's lots to do and see on the boardwalk.

First family beach trip of 4

My husband, 4 year old and 1.5 year old had the most wonderful time in Delaware! This home was in a private, gated community with a pool that we ended up not using once because it’s a short (20min) drive to the beach - either Lewes or Rehoboth! We will definitely be coming back to DE next summer!

Beach Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Everything we needed was in the house. We got the best sleep that we have had in years!!! The master bedroom has the most comfortable bed that we have ever slept on! So much so, that we are buying the same bed and the same Serta pillows!! Our dog really enjoyed his morning and afternoon walks through the beautiful neighborhood. We enjoyed swimming in the community pool and the walk to the pier.

Very Nice Place!

Very Nice Place! It had everything we needed for a pleasant and stress free stay. Grandchildren enjoyed playing with the provided toys. All the appliances you would want including full size washer and dryer. Very spacious living room/ family room with very comfortable furnishings Landlord was able to accommodate some last minute changes in scheduling. A+

Beautiful & Clean

The property was clean and beautiful. Owners had everything you think you would need. So many details they thought of that I wouldn't have. The outdoor trails do require LOTS of bug spray! You can also see and walk to the community center from the backyard so it was very close. You do have to drive to beaches, eateries, etc. but that info is listed in the listing so it's not a surprise. It's probably 20 mins depending on traffic. My family loved the home and would recommend to anyone (already have told people about it!)

Annual cousins summer vacay!

The property was exactly as described when booking. The accommodations was perfect for 4 teens and 2 adults and out dog! Upon arrival we noticed the refrigerator wasn’t working so we notified the owner. The owners responded quickly to help troubleshoot over the phone without success but sent someone over to address the problem. We appreciated the quick response! The home is so comfortable and the location was perfect for traveling to the local beaches. Highly recommend going to Cape Henlope State Park to visit the beach. There is a free bike sharing program at the Nature Center where you can borrow a bike for two hours and ride around the park. The only thing I would suggest is more toilet paper and garbage bags for guests. Otherwise perfect!

Easy Peasy

This house was perfect for our needs. It is exactly as described in its listing and the open living space is bigger than it looks. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean and well kept—and it is decorated to feel cozy. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, playing games in the open space and making s’mores in the fire pit. The hosts made booking, accessing, and departing the house super easy. My father lives in the development and this rental house served as over-flow housing because his house couldn’t hold all of us. I’m pretty sure we’ll try to book this property again the next time a large group of us visit my father.

This was a wonderful getaway! The weather was rainy for the for the first 3 days but in spite of that, we enjoyed our time together. The house was absolutely beautiful and had everything you could think of; even things to do on those rainy days. Every detail from booking the trip to check out went smoothly and without issue. Angola by the Bay is a wonderful community. I love that our private backyard that is only steps away from the neighborhood hub (fields, playground, pool, etc) and a short trail walk to the waterfront.
