Just what we needed

We wanted a place to get out of the heat for a few days...left home in 110 degrees and arrived in Solana Beach in 66 degrees. A much needed get away. The home was just as described and there was plenty of room for our family of 7.

We’re East Coasters who came to Solana Beach five years ago in search of waves—and quickly fell in love with the community, the coastline, and the laid-back rhythm of life here. We ended up staying for good and never looked back.

We haven’t rented our home in recent years since life with toddlers has kept us close to home, but we’re heading east this July and are excited to share our space while we’re away. It’s a home full of warmth, fun, and great memories—we hope you’ll make some of your own here too.

Why they chose this property

Our neighborhood is one of Solana Beach’s best-kept secrets—peaceful, walkable, and full of hidden gems. We’re just minutes from Fletcher Cove, where you’ll find a beachside playground and wide open sand for family fun. Annie’s Canyon and nearby hiking trails offer stunning views and outdoor adventure, all just a short drive or bike ride away.

You can walk to Sprouts, CVS, and a variety of restaurants and coffee shops, making it easy to settle in and enjoy your stay. One of our favorite things? The sunsets. Every evening, the sky lights up with color right from the front of our house—it never gets old.

What makes this property unique

What makes our home special is how much life it holds—for both kids and adults. The backyard is surprisingly large for the area, offering plenty of room to run, play, or just relax in the sun. Inside, the house is filled with natural light and has a variety of cozy, funky spaces that spark imagination and fun—especially for little ones.

It’s not your standard rental—it’s a real family home designed for joy, creativity, and connection. Whether you're chasing waves, enjoying a backyard BBQ, or watching the sunset out front, there's room here to slow down and make memories.
