We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home. It was much larger than what we needed, but would have been a great place for a group of people, a large family, or several family staying together. We did have a little confusion about the check in time, but the owner was very quick to accommodate our request to drop off our bags early due to a previously scheduled appointment. We will definitely stay here again. In fact we are already looking for dates in the fall
The house is in an area where we were able to travel to Charlotte and Kings Mountain with ease. The neighborhood has a nice atmosphere. The house had just amount of space and amenities we needed. Levar checked on us before, during, and after our stay to make sure everything was to our standards.
We stayed a full week while in town for our son’s wedding and it was just perfect. It was easy to find, very clean and organized, and in a nice location.
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely older home. The AC worked great and the accommodations were great. The owner was quick to respond to all questions/inquiries and check-in and check-out were very easy.
We stayed for two nights in this extremely comfortable and cozy home. Check-in was a breeze, Levar consistently checked in on us via the app to ensure all was well. It's in a quiet older neighborhood that seemed extremely safe. The home has a pool table (could use new pool cues, but whatever!) and plenty of space for a family to sprawl. We would definitely sleep there again. Close to a grocery store so you can pop out and grab anything you might need. Looking forward to staying there again!
The house is spacious and it was clean. The location was convenient for us for the wedding venue we were going to and it is a nice neighborhood. But it needs some things to be a comfortable place to stay. It says it sleeps eight and it can but nothing else is set up to accomodate 8 people!
We had 7 staying there and one family member in a near by hotel that spent most of the time with us (couldn't stay with us because none of the rooms had single beds). There are only 6 chairs in the dining room and only one other anywhere in the house that could be moved to the dining room. So we had to have 2 people share a chair to eat together. Each of the 2 bathrooms had only 1 small towel rack - no hooks even. Were are 8 towels supposed to hang? Three of the bedrooms had no usable mirror - so that leaves 6 people having to get ready for an event in only 2 bathrooms. There were only 3 regular spoons, 6 forks and 5 knives. When I contacted the manager instead of bringing us more cutlery - he told us where we could buy some. We had to wash dishes by hand because even though there was a dishwasher they only provided 1 dishwasher pod for 8 people for 2 1/2 days.
The upstairs was quite musty smelling. Two of us with allergies couldn't even be up there without reacting. The two young ones with us (9 and 4) discovered the playground in the backyard. But we had to forbid them from going near it because it was rusty, broken and dangerous. It should be removed.
Attention to Details matters!
Here is a list of everything wrong with this property:1) AC on the ground floor not working upon arrival2) Host responded initially but then didn't respond or provide updates for over 36 hours3) HVAC Technician discovered half a foot of water in the basement which was the cause for the AC not working, which subsequently could not be fixed during our stay4) Uneven floors throughout the house, particularly on the second floor5) Electrical outlets installed upside down throughout the house6) Only 2 smoke detectors installed7) Ants in kitchen and bathroom8) Chair collapsed while guest was seated in it9) Refrigerator didn't chill uniformly10) Beds were extremely uncomfortable11) Musty smell throughout12) Driveway extremely difficult to navigate13) Basement was accessible from the exterior of the home with no lockThe host gave us a partial refund for our stay (not a full refund surprisingly), but we can't in good conscience recommend this property to anyone.
