The cabin is tucked away in the woods but still close to all types of outdoor activities and restaurants. It was very quiet and peaceful. The provided breakfast was delicious! It was the perfect place for our honeymoon!

Could not of asked for anything more. Despite being the off season, there was still plenty to do in the area. Hosts were happy to answer any questions I had!

Great hosts and property. Helped us out when our truck would start due to the super cold temperatures. Will be back!

Great hosts and property. Owners helped us out when we could get vehicle started because of cold weather. Will be back
We enjoyed a couple of days at the Trillium cabin. It was clean, comfortable, cozy and private. The area has good restaurants and plenty of great hikes. The mattress is on the soft side (we prefer a very firm mattress). We recommend this cabin and hope to come back some day.

Thank you for your review. Sorry the bed was too soft for you. It's so hard to make everyone happy in that way since everyone prefers something different. We hope you'll come stay another time.

Nice cabin out in the wilderness outside of lake placid was about a 20 minute drive into the town
Areas around the property where very nice.
Also takes about 20-25 minutes to drive to whiteface mountain so right in the middle of all the attractions.
Did take the seasonal highway behind the property and that was another really nice drive.
Cozy cabin in the woods, where road noise was not heard, a welcomed respite. Close enough to eateries. Convenient X-C trails as well as access to other High Peak area hiking and X-C skiing. Highly recommend.

About the host
Hosted by Meghan Kirkpatrick
Your hosts at the Bark Eater are Meghan Kirkpatrick and Tyler Nichols. We have been apart of the revival of this iconic Inn since it changed ownership nearly a decade ago. After years of renovation, planning, and refinement, is was with great pride that we opened our doors in 2016. We took over the business in 2018 and began leasing the from the owners. We are so grateful for this incredible opportunity and have many visions we hope to bring forward in the coming years. It is our hope that we will be grow this business and maintain a place you that is your home away from home for many years to come.
We share a love of the outdoors, living closely with the land, and working with people. Meghan is an avid gardener, herbalist, hostess, cook, crafter, and nature educator. Tyler does it all and always with a smile. He's a handy man, land manager, cook, and an outdoor adventure enthusiast. We wear a lot of hats around here and love the diversity of our work and it's seasonal changes. Our other family members are Dude the Dog, Kvothe the Cat, and a couple dozed free range chickens. We love this place and our little family is so thrilled to share it with you!
