The Studio with a twin over double bunk is located about 30 yards from the house.
Parts of this home are air-conditioned from approximately Memorial Day until Labor Day each year. This home does not have central air conditioning.
Vacasa is a registered New York State sales tax vendor. And if Vacasa is the merchant of record will collect sales tax and applicable unit fees on all sales of short-term rental unit occupancy within New York State that it facilitates.

Private Oasis

This cabin is a great escape. Tons of amenities, extremely clean, 5 minutes to town, and a great, screened in deck. This was our second time staying and it is an awesome place to stay!

We loved this house. The screened in porch was so nice. The kitchen was large and well stocked. The bathrooms were modern and everything was clean. We look forward to coming back again.

The water ran out. The overriding focus of the house was dealing with plumbing.

The kitchen/dining room table was nice. The porch looks nice but it's near the river and tiny mosquitoes get in.

River end is good place to go

House is immaculate, like new! Back deck is great for morning coffee and a place to read without the bugs. Everything you need in kitchen is there, no need to bring anything. Beds are plenty comfortable. My only negative is that it would be helpful if there were electrical outlets by the beds. Because of outlet placement, we slept in separate rooms. Some odd rules like taking your own garbage to the dump and stripping the beds and putting sheets in washer.

Beautiful property and great location!

The house was very kept and clean. Most everything appeared brand new and definitely using a excellent cleaning service. Beautiful outdoor deck and beautiful property. Great fire pit and easy river access. We loved being close to Schroon lake but still secluded. It was also lovely to have little to do but pack up and leave. Some of the comments mentioned taking your own trash and doing laundry but these are no longer asked. We come to the area every year and I think this is the nicest accommodation we've used. Wished we could have stayed longer and definitely will return! Also we had never used vacasa and I was a little put off at first getting a real person to talk to but we loved having a local representative contact us prior to our check in who was able to answer any questions and available if needed during our stay.

A Perfect Autumn Location

The place was beautiful and immaculate The location was great. Secluded but close enough to things. We were there at the peak of fall foliage so that was very nice. Only one thing bugged me. Maybe it's a little thing but we were responsible for taking care of the trash. The owners gave us the address of the landfill but of course it wasn't open on Sunday of a holiday weekend. We've stayed in Vacasa properties many times and this is the first time that happened. Good thing we weren't flying! We had to drive home with the trash in the car. Not a huge deal but annoying.

Great House & Area But Just Know..

House was immaculately clean and fresh. Great private location that makes you feel like you’re away from it all. We happened to check in on a hot, humid , 90 degree plus day ( more and more of those in the ADKS these days) and just know there is only 1 portable AC unit in the entire place. Not truly adequate to cool the whole house with the back bedrooms. There are ceiling fans in each bedroom and two floor fans that we found in the closets but if you’re use to AC just be aware, it’s a bit warm. You’ll need to leave everything on if the weather gets hot though. Other than that, the place is terrific! Great screened in porch and clean clean clean. Unfortunately we had to leave early due to a region wide power outage - not owners fault at all. I am certain it would have been a great time had we had the chance to stay for the full time.

We arrived at the VRBO about 30 minutes after check in. Mind you, it was pouring down rain. When we went up to the uncovered front door to enter we found 2 lock boxes and a key pad on the door. We were given a code to enter and after several attempts were unable to do so. The code did not work and we had no code for the lock boxes. Long story short, we spent almost an hour on a call with support trying to access entry with each new code they gave us not working. We are now completely soaked and still unable to gain entry. Finally, the man we were speaking to gave us the code to one of the lock boxes, which he had refused to do in the beginning, and we were able to get a key to enter. The place was clean, however it was EXTREMELY hot in the house and the television did not work. We messaged the house host who said they would send someone out the next day. A young lady showed up around 11:30am. She was not with the tv repair people and the television was never fixed. We never heard from the house host again, even after we were told wed be compensated for services Grass was high down to the river, which also was a bit misleading. No beach back there just a very muddy hill and the grass was so high we didnt want to navigate the trails Mowers came out at 8am two days after we arrived, waking us all up. On a bright note, great location and great covered and screened in back porch. However, we would not recommend staying here, especially for the amount we paid for this place.

Quiet Retreat

This spacious, quiet retreat in the woods provided a peaceful place to return to after busy days exploring the area. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and the large table easily accommodated all of us. In addition, the screened in deck with sitting areas and a large table allowed us to eat outside during the warmer days. We found the beds to be very comfortable. There are interesting places to visit and lots of hiking trails in the area. A wonderful place to visit in the Fall!

Comfortable and Quiet

The property was awesome. It was cleaned immaculately prior to our arrival. We loved how everything was labeled and easy to find/use. The home was very spacious and has all the amenities you could possible need. Perfect location with access the countless trails, all within a 10 minute drive.

Family friendly

This was an easy weekend getaway for my family of four. We didn’t have to worry about packing bedding or towels. Almost everything you need is there. Very short drive to the town and the lake. Access to the river is a very short walk. We brought tubes, kayaks and paddle boards. The water level was low, but deep enough to use the water toys. The shallow areas were perfect for my 3 year old to play in. The house is small, but big enough for the family to have their own space. The screened in porch is a gray feature. The internet worked well to watch movies for down time or rainy days. I would definitely return with my family.

Beautiful Stay

This cabin is in the perfect spot, tucked in the woods, giving you a great space to hang with just your family and friends. Then, if you want to get out and about, it’s only 5 minutes to town! So clean, so cozy, perfect place to stay!
