The trash cans outside were full and overflowing on arrival and remained that way for the duration.The mailbox was crammed with unopened mailThe front entrance light was out.The disposal was not functioning.There was laundry in both the washer and dryer.The pool cues for the pool table had no tips and were unusable.There was no dishwasher soap.The baseboards were dusty.The primary toilet need repair as the tank did not fill half the time.There were no blinds or window covering on the main living floor.Property was nice but these problems were such that we would not return.

The house was so beautiful and fun! It was in a great neighborhood too. There were lots of lightbulbs out and doors & light switches that could use a scrubbing. The kitchen faucet was loose, as well. Other than that,we had such a wonderful time! The host was responsive and very kind.

Amazing Place & Location

Absolutely perfect stay! The rooms and entire townhouse was beautiful! The decor was fun and inviting! Hosted 6 people for my birthday and everyone loved it!! The location was 10 minutes from everything we wanted to do!!

My family and I had a great stay. The home is clean and exactly as described. The host, Vanessa, is very professional and responsive. We had a great stay and would absolutely stay in this home again! Highly recommend.

Excellent Stay

Vanessa was a great host. It was a great experience. The beds are super comfortable, and the fact that each bedroom has it's own bathroom it's a huge plus. Great location, modern looking and comfortable space and great communication from the host. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic house

A great house for a large group exactly as in the photos. Well located and very comfortable. Everything superb - very minor updates needed to bathrooms would be our only critique and it didn’t impact our love for the house!

Final Four Girl Trip

We loved our stay at this cozy place! We are four gals who love college hoops so we travel to see the Final Four yearly. This was a great place to hang out, eat, drink and relax. The home is very comfortable and each bedroom having its own bathroom is a definite plus! The decor is very cool and we loved the pool table at the top. The location was central to everywhere we wanted to go. Thank you Houston and Montrose for a very memorable stay!

Perfect Family Getaway

The house is exactly as described. We went the week of mine and my two daughters' birthday week and Vanessa had balloons and Happy Birthday sign up for us. Great first impression. We were close to so much and a quick drive to other places. Would definitely suggest this home to anyone traveling to Texas. Thanks Vanessa.

Thanksgiving Holiday

We enjoyed our stay during the Thanksgiving holiday, we traveled to Houston from Dallas to stay in this beautiful townhome to enjoy holiday time with Family. We loved seeing all of the artistic designs and paintings, very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the downtown Houston view from the rooftop patio. With every room having a different theme, made this townhome a joy to stay in. Adults enjoyed playing pool and kiddos had a tv to play their xbox.

Great stay in Houston

This was a clean, great place to stay. We came for a family wedding. My parents, brother, SIL, husband, kids and I all had plenty of space. Vanessa sent very detailed instructions prior to check in. Everything was as expected. She was readily available for the few questions we had during our stay. We would definitely stay here again next time we need to come to Houston. It felt like the type of home we would want to live in if we lived in a city.

Great Spot in Houston

We stayed in this townhouse over Thanksgiving. It was spotless, had great fun toys for kids (ours were ages 10-16), and we loved the colorful decor. They loved the giant chess and pool table! The location was excellent for the Science Museum/Rice U area (and near my family we were visiting). You could walk to fun shops and grocery if needed. (My kids were surprised to see no one walks anywhere in Houston!) We had some issues with the kitchen appliances, but the hostess went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. Thank you!!

Do not recommend; needs major cleaning and care

I hate leaving bad reviews but feel obligated to on this one. Booked this place for a family reunion. Family travelled very far to Houston for an event. Upon checkin could not get in because codes given were not correct.The artistic design of the house is very cool, but the house needs major cleaning. There is a smell of cigarette smoke throughout the house, especially the living room. Furniture though cool was dirty and stained. Some pieces had a distinct, gnarly smell. Family spotted a couple LARGE cockroaches and ants during their stay in the kitchen. “That was the largest cockroach I’ve ever seen” is not what you want to hear when you’ve just booked a short term stay for your family that’s traveled from very far away. Some toilets only flushed when you took off the porcelain top and manually flushed from inside the tank. Several lightbulbs were burned out throughout the property. Kitchen disposal did not work. AC does not work well in all the bedrooms, especially the downstairs which is very important in Houston. Overall, property needed some serious cleaning and care before we arrived. Clearly has been used as a party house one too many times. Again I hate leaving bad reviews, but this place is certainly not cheap and my relatives were quit uncomfortable during their stay.

Get Travelers/Damage insurance against theft etc

Although the property has some visible “photo ops” I would have traded all of that for cleanliness, working bathrooms, and a more interested & caring host. Not to mention the theft of forgotten AirPods that have disappeared from the home. Emailed host a couple days into our stay advising her that 2 of 4 bathrooms had cold trickling water from the sinks AND SHOWERS. The the main floor living room bathroom toilet was running & upon arrival their were dirty bathrooms/kitchen & cockroaches in two different floors of the house. Her response after almost 24hrs was “thanks I’ll let the cleaning people know” I messaged her privately because I thought that would be a nicer approach than leaving a negative review. At minimal I would have expected an apology. It actually wasn’t until we had our AirPods that were accidentally left and that obviously now been stolen, felt it necessary to leave an honest review. The day of departure I reached out again to the host letting her know the AirPods have been left at the house. We have the GPS tracking and could see them pinging there. I luckily live in the city as friends were visiting from out of state. I asked if I could stop by at 8:30 the next morning. She didn’t reply until next day after 8:30 & told me her cleaning crew wouldn’t be there until Mon (week after we checked out, weird). On Sun prior to her cleaning team that was “supposed to come” the AirPods pinged that they were taken out of the case & host has stopped responding.

My colleagues who stayed in the property reported an overall good stay. The property was clean and in good proximity to the conference center. Would definitely recommend. The noted issues were the heating wasn't working in part of the unit. The owner was very responsive and a technician came to work on the issue but wasn't able to fix it. Unfortunately, the heating never got over 60 degrees in the unit. The other issue was in the lower bathroom shower, the water was only a trickle of lukewarm water. My understanding is that this issue was not reported to the owner during the stay. Regards, Kathleen

Beautiful vibrant property. Loved the colors and styles of the rooms, very comfortable for our group of three families visiting our kids at Rice. Excellent value for the price point. Host was responsive to our needs. Property has a bit of wear and tear (as you might expect in a rental) but it was very clean.
