Not a great experience

Traveled from NC to celebrate our grandson's birthday at Busch Gardens. Knowing that we are not going to be able to check in until 4pm we were not in a hurry to arrive. We arrived at the resort around 7pm and to our surprise our condo was not ready. The lady at check in asked us to speak with one of the concierges and by the time we were finished with them our room will be ready and we could get our keys. After getting done with the concierge our room was still not ready. We were told to give them five more minutes. Frustrated at this point we decided to find a grocery store to purchase supplies and groceries for our stay, which gave the resort 45 minutes more to get our condo ready. Upon coming back, we were given our room keys and proceeded to our condo, where we were meet with housekeeping still cleaning the unit. Once housekeeping noticed us, I noticed them now rushing to get done.Of course we found things not done properly such as hair in sinks and shower. Another issue we had was the amount of bad language being used by the people playing basketball by the tennis courts. There are a lot of children at the resort playing at the playground or sitting by the firepit making smores and they are subject to listening to some very foul language being used by others. I felt there should have been some kind of security to control some of that behavior on the basketball court.

Misleading listing-no follow up

I booked this property through VRBO and it was listed as 3 bedroom. I received confirmation email from VRBO with info. I then received confirmation email from resort stating it was 2 bedroom. Called the resort who confirmed it was only 2 bedroom and i would have to contact VRBO. I spent a total of about 2 hours on phone 2 different times with VRBO trying to find out the issue. Was finally told it would be escalated and someone would contact me to resolve this. That was 3 days before check in. Never heard from anyone. Messaged the host 3 days before check in and received a message back the morning of check in saying they would look into it. Arrived at resort for check in was told i had TWO different reservations-one for a 2 bedroom and one for a 3 bedroom and realized once I checked in that i had an email that appeared the resort had "fixed" the 2 bedroom to make it 3 bedroom. It was just a new reservation for a 3 bedroom that came in a couple of hours before I checked in. I hope thats the case and I am not charged for 2 different bookings. I need to look into that now. All in all we wound up with a 3 bedroom however the lack of communication and customer service was astonishing to me.

I booked this place and they cancelled my booking same day of arrival while I was en route to VA to stay there. VRBO said find Something through expedia since you cannot book same day accomodations. I had to find a different place and spent more than 2x the $

Property overview

Wonderful stay…will definitely stay here again. I did not realize that the property I rented was a lock out. Ended up not being a problem, but we were traveling with our grandchildren. This is a secure and safe place to stay. Also, just because you rent with an owner, does not mean you get their property.
