Falling into Maine
A perfect spot to relax and spend some quiet time. A great location with perfect access to Greater Augusta and surrounding areas. Enjoyed our stay….the Fall foliage provided a great background for an extended weekend.
Property is not maintained on exterior. Outdoor firepit is overgrown. Deck and dining area covered in mildew. The windows were filthy and it was hard to see out. There were cobwebs and spiders all over!

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns about the exterior maintenance of the home. We are truly sorry to hear about the overgrown firepit, mildew on the deck and dining area, the condition of the windows, and the presence of cobwebs and spiders. This is certainly not the experience we want for our guests, and we completely understand how this could impact your stay. We have documented your feedback and escalated it to our local team to address these issues as quickly as possible. We want to ensure your comfort and enjoyment during your visit, so please know that we are taking this seriously. We hope to have the opportunity to better serve you in the future.
Great vacation property. Access to lake was fun. Secluded and peaceful. Watch out for summer heatwaves— the mini split in the living room will not reach to cool the bedrooms and sleeping may be uncomfortable for some.
Very nice, convenient
Listed as a four bedroom but was only
Three ,we didn't need the rooms but if we had there wasn't a fourth
Also there was only ac in the main upstairs living room
The couches upstairs are very deep and could use some additional pillows
Overall
Kitchen was great
Outside was great
The lake was gorgeous
We had a wonderful time
Thank you
Nice option for a family vacation base. Check-in was easy and the kitchen is up to date with all the usual pot/pans, plates, etc.
Master bedroom bed was less comfortable than we hoped - every shift during the night caused the bed to shake.
If we return to the area, we would consider staying here again.
Average rating on communication with property manager as we did not need assistance during our stay.

Beautiful home
Gorgeous home tucked back in a very quiet and peaceful spot. Beautiful open kitchen and dining room.
The bedroom doors lock and we could not get in touch with the vacasa rep to guide us where to find the keys to open it back up. The batteries in the remote also had eroded, we again couldn’t get in touch with anyone via vacasa messenger so when weather turned we were unable to use the marketed smart TV.

Emily, thank you for your review, we appreciate you taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback. We are glad you enjoyed our beautiful home. We sincerely apologize for any disconnect in the care you received when communicating with our team and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. We welcome your feedback as a means to improve and will be sure to follow up with the appropriate parties regarding your experience. The keys to lock/unlock the bedroom doors are located on top of each door frame to the respective door. The batteries have been replaced. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope we can host you again!
This is beautiful home in secluded area. The house is recently renovated, fully equipped in the kitchen, linens, towels, laundry etc. It is roomy and lovely and comfortable, with a wonderful set up for a family - main space and two "adult" rooms upstairs and den/TV room and two kids bedrooms downstairs. very quiet, nice firepit outside. The house is a five minute walk down a steep hill to the lake, but if needed you can drive, as there is parking at the water. Four kayaks provided (by the lake, so nothing to schlep) and they were great. This was a truly lovely stay and we would be happy to come back.

UNSAFE AND HOME IS NOT UP TO CODE!
I rented this home for a week to host a family Christmas. Unfortunately, this property is not up to building code. I have rented through VRBO numerous times and had no issues, however this home is not safe as there were no banisters on the stairs which are 2 flights down and the top guardrail has ‘horizontal’ ladder type rail that a child would think is a ladder. I am DONE will report start.

Guest services need work
The home was clean and, although very plain in furnishings was adequate. What was not adequate was the response to my complaint on day 2 of 4 that the one television (located in the basement, no alternate existed in the living room or any of the four bedrooms) did not work. At one point the remote that gave access to one unchangeable channel was replaced with one that wouldn't even turn on the tv. Not ususally big tv watchers but we were in the midst of binging a show and that's what we wanted to do. Promises were made - promises were not kept. Left a day early as a result.

Thank you for your feedback, Martha. We’re glad to hear that you found the home clean and adequate for your needs.
However, we sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced with the television and the lack of timely response to your complaint. We understand how important it is to have functioning entertainment options, especially when you're looking to enjoy some downtime. It’s disappointing to hear that we did not meet your expectations in this regard, and we regret that promises made were not fulfilled.
Your experience is not reflective of our standards, and we will address this with our team to ensure better communication and follow-through in the future.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and we hope you might consider giving us another chance to provide a better experience in the future.
Overall a nice home, upstairs bedrooms and bath very spacious and clean. Downstairs bedrooms are smaller but adequate. Just a note- the bed frames do have head and foot boards, so the twins can be a bit tight if you are sleeping adults. Pillows are tired and some stained. and Could use an update- id suggest bringing your own.
Kitchen is well stocked, some dishes needed a scrub, but easily taken care of.
The stairwell is NOT conducive to children. The top won’t support a baby gate. We had to block off with a folding table, and the stairs themselves only have a handrail- there is a lot of space for a child to tumble through the space between railing and stairs.
Nice big play/tv room in the basement- only room in the house with a TV.
Just a note- it rained the whole time we were there, the basement was very damp- to the point the carpet felt wet in areas. This was reported- not addressed at the time of stay.
Lastly- there is water access, it’s not directly attached to the house, and you’ll have to text vacasa contact for directions. Also, kayaks were supposed to be available- 2 adult/2 kid- these were locked in the garage and not available - vacasa text contact said local staff would address it wasn’t addressed by the time we left the following day.
We got the feeling there wasn’t a local owner- so while the text response time was fast- it wasn’t overly helpful - even a book with basic tips and a map of water access would be very helpful.

Thanksgiving Family Getaway
We absolutely loved our stay here and the secluded location. The house seems recently remodeled with all the amenities advertised and the large open kitchen layout was perfect for cooking and socializing. The hosts left us a nice Thanksgiving care package, which we fully used - thank you! Downstairs was a large family room area with a large flat screen TV that was a perfect area for kids to enjoy time together and to be separate from adults (win-win!). While we did not make use of the lake due to the time of the year, we appreciated the close proximity. We were very delighted with our stay! -peter

Enjoyed our stay.
My family and I stayed at Falling Pines for a few days in October and were happy with our decision. The house was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The view out the living room window was also nice and peaceful.
The only drawback I can think of is it’s difficult to be quiet when walking around as the floors are squeaky in places. Definitely not a deal breaker though.

Enjoyed our stay
This property is nestled in the woods on a large private lot very near the lake. It is spacious, in wonderful shape and nicely decorated and furnished. There were many thoughtful details such as well equipped kitchen, comfortable bedding and towels, great family room with large tv, as well as a whole level with peace and quiet , games etc. My little dogs enjoyed running around with me in the yard. Great spot and just what we were loooking for.
