Beware of this host

Received all check-in information from property host a couple hours before scheduled check-in but arrived at property to find another renter there who was doing a long term rental. Tennant called owner and he was unsympathetic and offered no help. Just said it was a mistake and there were hotels in the area. Wrong! There were several large events going on in the area and I could not find a reasonable hotel and NO available VRBO's. Offered a refund but my vacation plans were ruined. How can the host not know he has a long term tenant in the property? Felt like the host was running a scam. Beware before booking.
