It was a beautiful home. Spacious, comfortable and well worth the money! We had some trouble checking in as we had no code so waited for a while outside but he was very kind when we finally connected! I don’t believe that would happen again as he was responsive on everything else.No paper supplies so check on that before you go! Great coffee shops close by!

We had a great time staying at the Mallard Manor. We were in Eugene for a visit for my sons to the University, plus we wanted to explore the area. We had four kids and two adults and had plenty of room. The house is definitely older but is well kept. The only thing that I was a little thrown by is that the upstairs bathroom is totally exposed without curtains or blinds, so the neighbors might have had a little show with our showers haha. Easy to get to, lots of cute decor, and comfortable stay.

The house was surprisingly spacious and exactly as expected. River was very responsive and helpful. The location was fantastic. It was a little noisy on Friday night but I think that’s the price you pay for location. Highly recommend!

The place was spacious enough to fit us all. The smell when you walk in the door is musty, it wasn’t as clean as it could have been. The batteries on the lock died and I had to leave the door unlocked with all of our stuff in there, until I heard from the guy about where the batteries were. The windows in the bathroom upstairs do not allow for privacy. When we first arrived, there was a homeless person sleeping in the grass on the other side of the road from the house. I probably won’t stay here again.

We strive to provide every guest with a wonderful stay, and while we’re sorry this visit didn’t meet this guest’s expectations, we don’t believe this review is representative of the experience the overwhelming majority of our guests have in our home. Throughout the stay, we responded promptly to every concern and addressed the issues within our control as quickly as possible. We take great pride in maintaining the home and continually invest in improvements to ensure every guest has a great experience. We invite future guests to read our many positive reviews, which consistently reflect the level of care, communication, and hospitality we work hard to provide.

A fun old home!

The house is old and has some quirks (like placement of light switches) and loads of charm. The decor leans into the theme and is really fun. We had a great, easy stay here.

We really enjoyed our time at the Mallard Manor. The living room was big enough to hold our whole group for card games and conversation. We loved the different themed rooms and the decor throughout. Overall, we were really happy with the location, as it felt close to everything in Eugene!

Excellent Host

We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at this property! The host was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Communication was seamless; they were always quick to respond to any questions or requests, making us feel supported throughout our time there. The property itself was just as described—clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. I highly recommend this host and would love to stay again in the future!

Wonderful home!

We had a wonderful stay at Mallard Manor! The home is beautifully decorated and Duck themed throughout which was really fun. The home is older and has lots of fun and funky spaces. Our kids loved the attic space. The beds were very comfortable and there were lots of thoughtful details throughout. We were visiting family in town and the location was close to downtown and stores and restaurants which was so convenient. Very comfy and cozy!

very spacious home with a 1930"s feel and Go Ducks theme.

Staying in Robert's Mallard Manor helped us feel a part of the busy city of Eugene with Oregon Ducks love! The home is a treasure of 1930"s with some older home "vibes." Character of the home and recent updates fit well with the community. We loved having play space for the children in the upper floor and adult space for quiet conversations. Thank you Robert for sharing your home!

Big Game Weekend

We had 10 adults for a big game weekend in Eugene. The house is in a perfect spot if you want to enjoy town but not be surrounded by college students. Plenty of shopping and food within walking distance and campus was a quick Uber ride The house it’s self had everything we needed with plenty of space for us all to relax and enjoy each others company. The hosts were quick to respond to questions or concerns.

Hi! I'm Robert.

I am a freelance digital nomad with a serious addiction to travel. I have spent much of the past ten years on the road exploring new places and soaking up foreign cultures. After renovating our hundred-year-old home in Nashville, I bought a cabin in Oregon with my Fiancé and we just finished curating our third home in the hills of Eugene - my college town (Go Ducks!). We love sharing our homes with guests from all over the globe in their journeys to our favorite places.

Why they chose this property

Whatever your reason for visiting Eugene; weather you are in town for a Duck game, graduation, visiting a loved one, or just experiencing the best our college town has to offer - the Mallard Manor will give you a vibey academic feel that celebrates the funkiest factors that make Eugene such a magical place. Our five bedroom historic home can easily house groups big and small.
