I absolutely loved this place! It was way larger than what I saw online and everything about the place was very cozy. The location was also perfect for us.
We loved our time here. 5 people fit easily and the home was in a great location and it was beautifully kept! We would definitely stay here again! Kara was easy to work with and she was very kind! Highly recommend!!
The house is beautiful and in a great location! We had so much fun! The neighborhood and nearby park were great for walking our dog. There’s so much within walking distance of this property.
Great location as I enjoy the history of the Columbus Park/Little Italy neighborhood. and just a short walk from the trolley. Master bedroom was great, only critique would be a better mattress in second bedroom.
Fantastic location, nestled in between the historic Columbus Park and the super cool River Market neighborhood. Both are easily walkable. Place was fantastic, a real find. We would definitely rebook on our next trip to KC. Thanks Kara!
This was a beautiful townhome in a great location!!! Loved the size and decor of the place. The close proximity to downtown, the convention center and restaurants and bars!! It was stocked with everything we need and more.
We loved Harry’s Country Club! Communication with Kara was fabulous. We would definitely stay here again!

It was very clean and spacious. We had three people with plenty of space. The tiny down side was the road noise. It did not bother me, but it wasn't great for the people I travelled with. I would stay with this property again for sure. Kara who I spoke with was very accommodating.
Not the best for folks with hip knee or ankle issues. Several flights of stairs to the top. Concern’s about if the doors stay locked cause the knob just turns open each time from the inside.
Good security from the outside, excellent viewing of the skyline, fully stocked with everything possible. Overall an excellent experience.

I'm sorry the condo didn't fully meet your expectations. We do advertise in our photos that the condo has stairs, both leading up to the entrance and in the home. All mobility concerns should be taken into account when booking our property. We did not hear of any security concerns from you concerning the lock, but would have been happy to address them during your stay. We did verify that our smart lock is functioning properly. We're glad that, overall, you had an excellent experience.
We had a phenomenal stay. The location in KC was amazing. Walking to the City Market area was fantastic. Being close enough to walk to the KC Streetcar was awesome, too. It is also a couple blocks from a health food store. It is also a block and a half from both a dog park and a regular park with a nice playground (in opposite directions). Having access to the garage was also amazing. Great kitchen and dining area. The three bathrooms and two showers were nice. We will definitely come back with our children. It was also just perfect to have multiple decks. Having breakfast on the deck was picture perfect. The host, Kara, was excellent with communication--very responsive and very detailed. The only thing that wasn't stellar is that the beds were not the most comfortable. They were lumpy and/or wiry. We were able to get used to them though, which is much better than some vrbos we have stayed at.

KC Property investors "shopping trip"
It was very easy to find and the instructions regarding check in were spot on! At first glance we believed it exceeded our expectations. A few things that challenged us and changed our minds were:1. the 3 flights of stairs from the garage (WHICH IS A GREAT PERK WHEN IT COMES TO SAFELY PARKING YOUR CAR!) all the way to the bedrooms. We weren't prepared to have to carry our luggage up all those stairs.2. opening the cabinets and hoping pots and pans didn't fall out. Not sure who put the pots and pans away but they were not logically stored. We also needed to clean them before we used them.3. the beds were air mattresses and as such very uncomfortable to sleep in. Couple that with the noise from the Interstate just outside the door and we were left with tough morning starts.The owner or manager did respond to our requests very quickly. She agreed to let us enter 2 hours earlier; however we ended up arriving later than expected so didn't get to take advantage of that. But the offer was appreciated!If the bed situation can be fixed we'd stay again.
Our adult kids live a mile or so from this VRBO, and
my husband and I were very excited to be within
walking distance of them.
Unfortunately the king bed, to quote my husband,
“feels like a cheap air mattress with no pad.”
But the critical problem for us was that this VRBO is a corner unit facing the freeway and has zero sound insulation. We were up literally all night after arriving; at 4am I called a hotel and made a reservation for the remainder of our stay in KC.
When I texted her a few hours later (no need to disturb HER sleep!), the owner responded that she’d “disclosed the downtown location and expects guests to understand that a stay in the city may not be as quite (sic) as one in a suburb or otherwise removed from typical city noise.” I explained to Kara that we live in LA, are frequent travelers to NYC, San Francisco, DC and Chicago, and are very familiar with “typical city noise” and the mitigations that can be made, none of which she’s made at her property. I also pointed out that constant freeway noise is not “typical city noise.” Nevertheless, she refused to grant even a partial refund, even though we moved out before 11am after the 1st night of our planned 4-night stay.
My daughter tells me that no one cares about noise, that most travelers will be thrilled by the proximity of this VRBO to the shops and restaurants in River Market.
In case there are folks out there that, like us, also want
a decent night’s sleep, I’m adding some clarity to the listing.
